SECRET INVASION: New Details Revealed About The Show's Big Bad - Is Super-Skrull Finally Coming?

A few minor details have been revealed about the Secret Invasion TV series coming to Disney+, and the signs could be pointing to the Super-Skrull making his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut very soon...

News broke earlier this year that Kingsley Ben-Adir had landed a lead role in Secret Invasion as a villain who will clash with Nick Fury and Talos. Rumour has it that Marvel Studios was eyeing the likes of Gary Oldman and Denzel Washington for the role, so this character is no doubt a major addition to the MCU.

Murphy's Multiverse has shared a few intriguing new details, including the fact that, as suspected, Ben-Adir will play a Skrull. However, they've also learned that his shape-shifter has a storied history with Talos and speculate that he could be playing Paibok or Kl’rt. The latter is, of course, the Super-Skrull, which suggests he could be introduced here prior to when he gains the Fantastic Four's powers.

As for Killian Scott's mystery character, he's said to be playing one of Ben-Adir's cronies. That no doubt means he's a Skrull as well, and the site points out that Klrr is a likely possibility for him.

That character infiltrated Stark Industries and was the star of the Meet the Skrulls series we've heard could be the inspiration for Secret Invasion. It's been clear for a while now that we're not getting an action-packed adaptation of the original comic book event series, with Marvel Studios instead leaning more into the "Who Can You Trust?" aspects of the story than the Avengers fighting Skrulls.

It would be a waste not to adapt the Kree/Skrull War at some point and throw Earth's Mightiest Heroes into the mix, but who knows what Secret Invasion could be setting the stage for.

The series is expected to arrive on Disney+ in late 2022.

I could see them setting him up for the F4 sequel.

Think Ben-Adir is more likely to be Kl'rt and Scott Paibok, since the Paibok fits that cronie role a little bit better I think.

Wonder who they'll get as Dorrek, Veranke and Lyja though. In the case of one the latter I could even see that be Emilia Clarke's role, who impersonates Abigail Brand (also Clarke).

Super-Skrull is a must have for Secret Invasion.

The Super Skrull makes no sense before the introduction of the Fantastic Four. Until that and him meeting them, he is just a skrull.

It would be great if Ben-Adir's character uses the face of Professor Adam Brashear (Blue Marvel).

@Repian - if he's not introduced in The Marvels, I can see him be in this

It could be interesting if they introduce him with the F4s powers and characters in the show question where he got them from. That could be a cool set up for where the Fantastic Four are and imply they’ve already faced him. Then we explore that whole situation in their solo movie

Guess we will wait and see...

Back a lack of action in the series could be kinda lame...

What I love about the MCU is the ground work they do in the writing. There is no way Paibok would be "Super Skrull" at this point ,but the fact that he is introduced, we as fans know that "Super Skrull" is coming.

what about........ his introduction (as Super skrull when he gains his powers) is with the fantastic four? . he is on the ship when the event happens as another scientist but nobody knows he is a skrull (including us watching).
he can still be in the secret invasion without being "super Skrull" at this point too.
he gets beaten and essentially wants to power up afterwards and finds out rumours of cosmic events that have previously done such things to people. piggy backs on with the fantastic 4 but watchers dont know he is a skrull until after the event. he can be hospitalized and in a coma and then Quick change to his skrull form infront of the viewers right at the end credits when he changes form several times over a few seconds showing powers of each F4 member?

ok. will get my coat
