WandaVision and Elizabeth Olsen are firm favourites heading into the Emmys, and Marvel Studios' first Disney+ series stealing the show come awards season will be a great start for the MCU on TV.
An "Art of" book for the show is expected to be released next year, but in the meantime, Marvel Studios Director of Visual Development Andy Park has shared one of his early pieces for the series. As you can see, the Scarlet Witch, Vision, and Tommy and Billy Maximoff all assemble for WandaVision's final battle against Agatha Harkness (which we still wish had included "Quicksilver").
Of course, things played out a little differently in the show itself, but this looks spectacular.
"I absolutely was channelling [Pixar's] The Incredibles (one of my favs) when I was designing & painting this keyframe illustration for WandaVision during preproduction in 2019," Park says. "This is their team hero family moment like in The Avengers (& The Incredibles)." He added: "I love the theme of 'families' in the MCU. Such a fun keyframe to illustrate during preproduction."
There are no plans for a second season of WandaVision, but Wanda Maximoff's story will continue in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. We don't what the plan is for White Vision, though it might make sense for him to return in a Disney+ series like Armor Wars. We'll see.
