After being destroyed by Thanos at the end of Avengers: Infinity War, Vision (Paul Bettany) returned for the Disney+ WandaVision series. Of course, the synthezoid turned out to be one of Wanda's (Elizabeth Olsen) creations, but the real Vision was rebuilt by S.W.O.R.D. and showed up in the season finale after being programmed to take the Scarlet Witch down.
This white incarnation of the character later fled after acquiring his old memories, and hasn't been heard from since.
Of course, this leaves the door wide open for Vision to return at some point, and during an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Bettany made it very clear that he does expect to reprise the role in The MCU... even if he's not prepared to reveal when and where it's going to happen.
"No, the honest answer to that is – well maybe it's not the honest answer, but it's the answer I'm going to give you and you'll just have to cope with it – at the end of WandaVision, you see Vision fly off and that's a loose end," said the actor when asked if we'd ever see Vision again. "And Kevin Feige [president of Marvel Studios] is a man who doesn't really allow loose ends. So I assume at some point I will be putting on my tights and cloak for another outing, but I don't know when that might be."
With The Scarlet Witch set to have a prominent part to play in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, there's a chance we might see Vision put in an appearance - even of it's just to attempt to set his old flame back on a heroic path.
