WANDAVISION Star Paul Bettany Teases The Show's "Moving" Ending; New 1980s Sitcom Poster Released

WandaVision has resulted in more fan theories than perhaps any other Marvel Studios project, and it's not hard to see why. There's clearly something weird going in Westview, and everyone from Mephisto to Nightmare, and even Magneto, have been blamed for the sitcoms we're seeing.

As it turns out, Paul Bettany is actually keeping his eye on these theories, and is having a lot of fun reading them!

"I'm loving it being disseminated to the fans," Bettany told Marvel.com. "And I love how frustrated they are of not being able to see it all in one fix. I love reading their theories of what might happen. And some of them are incredibly accurate, actually."

He added, "I keep thinking, 'Marvel should give that person a job.' It's been a whole lot of fun watching them go through this. I mean, I know they've been waiting a long time. So, have we."

Bettany obviously wouldn't share any spoilers for WandaVision, but did drop some more teases, this time referring to how it all ends. "I find it really moving," the actor pondered. "I'm really excited for it to end and for people to get to the ending. And then it's out there."

Marvel Studios has also released a new poster featuring Baby Vision, a breakout part of the Disney+ series fans have been going nuts over.

@Fogs - Would be nice to get some more stuff like the classics. seriously they keep adding more and more action movie stuff to horror movies. None of them beat the Bela Lugosi Dracula or Boris Karlof Frankenstein movies

Still wouldn't be surprised if the shows ends up introducing Fassbender's Magneto. It would keep Magneto's WWII origin, and have him im modern day MCU.

If Quicksilver is the FoX-Men QS from the 80s (as Wanda "lives" in the 80s), I can see her taking 80s/90s Magneto from that timeline when Wanda's show is in the 80s/90s.

@bkmeijer - Wanda wasn’t his twin in the FOX reality...assuming the little girl with him in that scene was supposed to be Wanda. How does the “multiverse” square these circles?

@PerrinNation1 - could be that little girl was Polaris? I don't put much thought into it really, but I do start to have (possibly too) high hopes for the finale

Probably a combination of:
• Wanda has a breakdown realizing she was manipulated by Agnes/Agatha or someone else
• Wanda realizes she needs to move on from Vision and says goodbye to the manipulated version of him
• Wanda is viewed in a negative light by most of S.W.O.R.D and though Monica tries to change things, she loses her status as an Avenger
• Wanda gets approached by Doctor Strange who offers to mentor her, providing her with emotional support

Generally the show seems to be Wanda coming to terms with Vision being dead. Potentially dealing with some of the stages of grief:
- Denial "My husband and his indestructible head" - Episode 1 and others
- Anger "This will be your only warning" - Episode 3 & 5

Bargaining and depression could be aspects we see later on, it's clear acceptance would be when she stops the reality bubble and says goodbye to Vision in some form.

"Moving"...

What if it's like an actual sitcom ending where they're literally moving? Like they move out of the house?

[I'm gonna stop trying to come up with theories now]
Fogs

@AC1 - My guess is:

White Vision. With zero sentiment for Wanda.

Strange convinces her to cut the acting off in the last episode and Vision is left alive but with without the connection to her... It's just that gray android with white eyes.

To Wanda It's worse than him dying, and pretty sad.

BTW now that I think of it that's pretty much what happened to Gamora and Quill in the end of Endgame.
AC1
AC1 - 2/11/2021, 6:00 PM
@Fogs - Oof, that'd be brutal, but it'd be a unique way of bringing Vision back permanently without trivialising his death in Infinity War and would also give Marvel a new long-term arc for both characters, with Wanda trying to move on but also clearly still being in love with Vision, and Vision possibly slowly rediscovering his lost personality and emotions over time.

I've never thought of that but I actually really like the idea now that you've come to with it!
