Fear Street Part 3: 1666 (see what they did there?) hits Netflix tomorrow, and horror fans will get to witness the epic conclusion to a nightmare 300 years in the making.

The final instalment in director Leigh Janiak's three-film adaptation of R.L. Stine's novels takes us back to the 17th century as the origins of Sarah Fier’s curse are finally revealed. Deena (Kiana Madeira) is forced to experience the tragic events through Sarah's eyes, as a dark shadow falls over her town and drives her friends and neighbours to commit terrible acts that echo through history and alter the lives of Shadysiders forever.

"Fear Street fans are in for a treat - and some major surprises," said Stine. "Readers know that the book series is rated PG. But the movies are rated R. That means a lot more thrills, and a lot more terror! I have seen Leigh Janiak's epic trilogy releasing on Netflix in July and I can tell you the scares and the screams are more than I ever expected. What fun to see the horrors of Shadyside come to life!"

Check out the new trailer below along with some key art, and let us know what you think.

@dragon316 - did you not pay attention to the advertising? They made it pretty clear this was a big summer event of films.

I've seen like the trailer ads on YouTube and stuff, they look at least somewhat competent. I grew up on Goosebumps and Are You Afraid of the Dark. Is this like that stuff? It says it's R rated... who is this for?

@ElricReturns - that's my major issue with Part 1 and to a lesser extent 2. It's based on young adult novels but they add enough gore to make it R without actually making the story, dialogue, situations etc more adult.

I personally liked the second one better than the first, so hopefully the third is better than the second one too.

These have been pretty good. What has been decent has been amplified by a little extra but unexpected gore and a killer soundtrack. I doubt the 1666 top hits will do anything extra for the third one though.

Gonna watch the three of them next week. Looks like it could be fun, and from what I gather they're pretty solid too. Nothing to fear I guess.
