THE WITCHER: NIGHTMARE OF THE WOLF Teaser Unveils The Netflix Anime's Official Logo

While we're still waiting on that first trailer for the upcoming second season of The Witcher, Netflix has now unveiled a brief teaser video for animated spinoff film, Nightmare of the Wolf. Check it out.

Earlier this year, Netflix announced plans for an anime film which will serve as a prequel to The Witcher, and the first logo for Nightmare of the Wolf has now been unveiled via a brief teaser video.

The logo is a metallic version of the symbol of the School of the Wolf, where Geralt and his fellow witchers receive their training at Kaer Morhen.

Specific plot details for Nightmare of the Wolf are still under wraps, but we do know that the story will revolve around a younger take on Geralt's mentor, Vesemir. This experienced witcher was a major supporting character in the books and video games, but this will be the first time his past is explored in any great detail.

We don't know who'll be playing Vesemir in Nightmare of the Wolf, but Theo James did make a brief appearance as the character in season 1 of The Witcher, and Kim Bodnia is set to take over the role for season 2.

"Long before mentoring Geralt, Vesemir begins his own journey as a witcher after the mysterious Deglan claims him through the Law of Surprise."

The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf is set for release next year.

Netflix needs to really give us a bang, been awfully quiet. Especially since Disney+ and HBO Max have been making massive moves.

Netflix has stepped its anime game up. Pretender was dope and the new Godzilla anime looks really interesting.

Vesemir isnt exactly a 'major supporting character' in the books.
