STAR WARS: THE ACOLYTE - The Name Of LOGAN Star Dafne Keen's Character May Have Been Revealed

There's a lot of excitement surrounding Logan star Dafne Keen's role in Star Wars: The Acolyte, and we now have some intel on what her character in the Disney+ series will be called. Read on for details!

Work continues on Star Wars: The Acolyte, and according to Bespin Bulletin (via SFFGazette.com), production is currently taking place in Berkshire's Arborfield Green. That's near the show's home base in the UK, Shinfield Studios, and while she's yet to be spotted on set, we may finally have some news on Dafne Keen's mysterious character.

The actress, who many of you will likely remember best for playing Laura/X-23 in 2017's Logan, has since starred in HBO's His Dark Materials, growing up a lot in the process.

The now 18-year-old (it's hard to believe Logan was released over half a decade ago) clearly has a bright future, and while we don't know what role she'll play in a story that reportedly sees the Sith begin their infiltration of the Jedi Order, her character may have a name: Jecki.

That intel comes our way courtesy of Keen's talent agency, though it could be a codename.

After all, Amandla Stenberg's character was named "Aura" while casting was taking place, while Lee Jung-Jae's Jedi has been referred to as "Paul." We don't anticipate hearing either of those names in The Acolyte, but Jecki sounds like a far more realistic fit for this franchise.

With the story taking place prior to The Phantom Menace, there are those who expect it to reveal the origin story of Darth Plagueis, the powerful Sith Master who would one day take Sheev Palpatine under his wing. Whatever the case may be, we anticipate exploring a new side of this Galaxy as the Sith rise up and a deadly new threat to peace is revealed.

Star Wars: The Acolyte is described as, "a mystery-thriller that will take viewers into a galaxy of shadowy secrets and emerging dark-side powers in the final days of the High Republic era. A former Padawan reunites with her Jedi Master to investigate a series of crimes, but the forces they confront are more sinister than they ever anticipated."

The cast of the series includes Amandla Stenberg, Lee Jung-jae, Carrie-Ann Moss, Manny Jacinto, Dafne Keen, Jodie Turner-Smith, Rebecca Henderson, Charlie Barnett, and Dean-Charles Chapman.

The Acolyte will stream exclusively on Disney+, though a premiere date has yet to be revealed.

Y’all hear about the rumored new female Sith Lord? Her power is that she can make things go up and down. Her name is “Ella Vader”.

Jecki huh? Could be since by the end Dafne's character will adopt some Darth moniker which she'll be refered to by the end.

She is a very good young actress.

But we keep getting these Disney+ TV shows.

These idiots can't get a decent Star Wars movie going after the JJ Abrams/Rian Johnson trilogy of crap they last pooped out.

Start from scratch. No more lame Skywalker humping.

If those rumors about Kate Herron are true, this could be a really good show.

@ObserverIO - this show in particular is Kennedy's baby. The selection of the showrunner has me weary. Not expecting it to be great. But I hope I'm wrong!

After Logan and His Dark Materials, she can definitely hold her own as the lead I think.

And I do wanna see her as a Sith (maybe that Aura character Paul takes as an apprentice). Given that this is a Sith show, it should be possible for the play the Sith lead character (the titular Acolyte?).

I grew up with His Dark Materials. I never thought Amber Spyglass would ever be properly adapted in live action, but here we are. Anyway, she's got this...
