Star Wars takes place in a "Galaxy Far, Far Away," but we now know it's not the only Galaxy out there.
The Mandalorian established that Ahsoka Tano is searching for Grand Admiral Thrawn, the villain who vanished alongside Ezra Bridger in the closing moments of Star Wars Rebels.
They were pulled into hyperspace by the ancient Purrgil, though where they ended up has been a mystery to us ever since. Tuesday night's Ahsoka premiere wasted no time in revealing that the title character is searching for a map after Morgan Elsbeth revealed its location to her.
That ultimately falls back into the hands of the show's villains, with the former magistrate confirming the ancient landmark she, Baylan Skoll and Shin Hati find themselves standing on was created by "ancient people" who travelled there from a "distant Galaxy."
The orb Ahsoka Tano retrieved and Sabine Wren unlocked then maps a pathway from this Galaxy...to another. In fact, there appear to be countless different Galaxies, though the imagery relating to this one is surrounded by the Purrgils, suggesting that's where those creatures - who can travel through hyperspace - hail from.

Characters To Star Wars Canon And Recasts Rebels Hero - Spoilers
Baylan reveals the children of the Jedi temple used to call this the "Pathway to Peridea," a fairy tale among the younglings that we now know is all too real.
Elsbeth seems to be under the impression Thrawn is reaching out to her across time and space, raising a lot of interesting questions. We've seen time travel, of a sort, in Star Wars before and this feels somewhat like a new spin on the Multiverse; needless to say, it's in equal parts mind-boggling and intriguing.
For Baylan, travelling there and bringing Thrawn back to this Galaxy means unlocking a power he says is more than his apprentice, Shin Hati, has ever dreamed of.
All signs point to Dave Filoni taking a deep dive into Star Wars lore, potentially exploring both new sides of the Force and even the role magic plays in this franchise. What will have become of Thrawn and Ezra after being trapped in that new Galaxy is hard to say, though we could be about to see this franchise in a whole new light.
The first two episodes of Ahsoka are now streaming on Disney+.
