AHSOKA Will Feature WHAT IF...?-Style Sequences Including Alternate REVENGE OF THE SITH Ending - SPOILERS

We've known for a while that Hayden Christensen will once again reprise the role of Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader in the upcoming Ahsoka series, but new details about some enormous plans for the Sith Lord have now been revealed.

According to Making Star Wars (via SFFGazette.com), the actor required training for an action sequence, confirming we can expect to see Anakin's face on screen. That will happen during both live-action flashbacks to The Clone Wars and in a sequence with the hero turned villain in the costume he wore during his battle against Obi-Wan Kenobi on Mustafar in Revenge of the Sith.

These aren't your standard flashbacks, though; they'll come when the present-day Ahsoka Tanoa returns to Star Wars Rebels' World Between Worlds, learning that no matter what decisions she made, the outcome would always be the same. For example, had she returned to the Jedi Order, Anakin would have still succumbed to the Dark Side.

In fact, we'll see that Ahsoka would have been the one facing him on Mustafar in place of Obi-Wan!

Ahsoka is also going to learn that Anakin was always destined to become Darth Vader, and a new actor will take over the role from Rosario Dawson so we can see what the younger Jedi would have looked like had she battled her Master and friend on Mustafar.

There will be other visions, though, including Ahsoka killing Grand Admiral Thrawn. While that means Ezra Bridger wouldn't have needed to use the Purrgil, her fate would remain the same, with the lesson being here that Ahsoka can't change her destiny and needs to move past her regrets.

This sounds like both a huge moment for the character and a clever way to show the Star Wars Universe in a whole new light. Needless to say, we have a feeling this series is going to be something really special.

Ahsoka is set to premiere on Disney+ sometime in 2023.

I'm putting all my Star Warsy eggs in one basket and it's THIS series.

This is it for me. The be-all end-all.

I have utter and complete faith in Filoni.

@Doomsday8888 - Same here. Hoping he uses the World Between Worlds to reboot the sequel trilogy.

@ObserverIO - after boba Fett I doubt they're going to reboot the sequel trilogy and they shouldn't. We don't get clone wars if Disney reboots the prequels. Accept your mistake and work around it

@Taonrey - There is no Clone Wars for the sequels though (yet?). They could work around it if they have to, but they don't really have to.

@ObserverIO - they don’t have to and they won’t, even the current rumors see them doing another movie with Daisy Ridley.

Anakin's decision to let his fear of loss drive him to evil was his alone. Not a destiny cemented in truth. He put himself there. Were there exterior factors than persuaded his path? Yes. There always are such challenges. But he chose the Dark Side. Of his own free will. This is consistent with George's OT teachings regarding the Force and the Jedi. The furthest we get in the timeline under his watch and the failure of the Order in his PT story only further cements the ideology that both Yoda and Ben instill within Luke.

If Ahsoka sees that no matter what Anakin's decision would have been his own because of what happened to his mother and because of his fear in regards to Padme, if the lesson is to show Ahsoka this ISNT on her... So she can move on and heal and be the hero the galaxy needs, this makes sense to me.

Hard for me to believe Filoni would argue Anakin was destined by the Force for evil. Predestination is boring.

@McMurdo - He's literally "the chosen one"

His entire existence is based on prophecy and predestination.

Wokeass Lucasfilm will no longer go along with the fact that Anakin was more powerful than Jedi like Ahsoka. He was far more powerful and skilled than Ahsoka. Once he turned to the Dark Side he was easily defeating great Jedi Knights at the temple. Obi Wan besting him was a bit of a fluke.

Forget faith on Filoni. He's woke or he'd be gone from Lucasfilm! Notice on Mandalorian how every time a male character is introduced as a badass, in the next episode he gets defeated by a women. Mando was shown to be great at fighting but an episode later, he was beaten by Cara Dune, Boba Fatt was beaten by some insignificant woman, after a couple episodes of showing how skilled he was.

Once Windu shows up, he'll be shown to be a badass, then Ahsoka or a little girl will kick his ass in the next episode.

Bringing back the World Between Worlds is pretty cool, and it sounds like they will use for some intriguing sequences.

If they ever do a threequel trilogy, I hope that dives into the World Between Worlds as well.

this is the perfect opportunity to bring in legends material, and explain that it all happened but it was just alternate timelines. youve solved the entire legends vs canon dilemma in a single scene, no matter what material you choose. everythings canon now, and episode 8 is actually tragic because you know what future Luke actually had and lost. just do it already.

@hartley07 - it could literally be a 3 second shot of han and leia with twin babies and youre done. youve now implied that every single star wars property is now canon, because who knows how many times the world between worlds has already been used by other people.

@hartley07 - Although it's easy writing saying there is a multiverse, I agree it's a good opportunity to show other now non-canon properties.

Could even satisfy the many sequelhaters to an extent I think.

Andor was by far the best series of all of the Star Wars TV, I would even say it was better than the last two Star Wars that are know as the Skywalker Arc. Rogue One was awesome too.
