Lucasfilm did a stellar job of hiding Grogu's existence prior to the first episode of The Mandalorian, and the character - affectionately dubbed "Baby Yoda" - quickly became a sensation. Disney couldn't produce merchandise fast enough, while The Child's adorable antics were a highlight each week.
At the end of the show's second season, Din Djarin handed Grogu off to Luke Skywalker, seemingly setting the stage for the Jedi Master to train the youngling (we remain hopeful that poor Grogu wasn't among those killed by Ben Solo and the Knights of Ren). Now, The Mandalorian is not expected to feature The Child moving forward, but will he return in The Book of Boba Fett?
StarWarsNews.net reveals that Grogu has been featured on some of the crew merchandise given to those who worked on the Disney+ series, and after reaching out to their sources, the site confirmed that "we will get a glimpse of Grogu in The Book of Boba Fett."
There are no further details, though we'd imagine this could be a flashback to The Mandalorian with the events of that show playing out from Fett's perspective as he observes Djarin and Grogu from afar. It's certainly possible Fett will once again cross paths with Skywalker after what happened in Return of the Jedi, but that feels a lot like wishful thinking!
We'll see how things go, but it won't be long until we find out. Once Hawkeye wraps up, The Book of Boba Fett's first episode will premiere on Disney+ on December 29.
