STAR WARS: ANDOR Promo May Reveal The Depressing Final Fate Of Plo Koon After REVENGE OF THE SITH

Lucasfilm has released a spoilery new promo for Andor that appears to show the grim final fate of Jedi Master Plo Koon following his explosive death in Revenge of the Sith. Check it out after the jump...

The first three episodes of Andor premiered on Disney+ yesterday, and the events of those have certainly left fans with plenty to discuss. However, it's a look ahead at what's to come in the rest of the season that's generated the most discussion online.

Showing Stellan Skarsgård's Luthen Rael looking quite a bit different to what we've seen of him in those opening chapters, the Rebel appears to be walking Mon Mothma around some sort of den of antiquities. This could be how he hides in plain sight, of course, though it's what's on display that's intrigued us.

As you can see, Rael walks past a mask that appears to belong to Jedi Master Plo Koon.

The fan-favourite hero was among the wisest members of the Jedi Order, respected for his level-headed analysis of events and unflappable calm. He shared a special bond with Ahsoka Tano, whom he’d brought to the Jedi Order as a toddler, and is known to be one of The Clone Wars' Dave Filoni's favourite Star Wars characters.

That explains why the Jedi was used as a misdirect for Luke Skywalker's cameo in The Mandalorian, but the chances of Plo actually returning...well, don't bank on it happening in any future stories.

In Revenge of the Sith, We saw that Master Plo was a victim of Order 66 and died at Cato Neimoidia when his wingmen shot down his starfighter.

It appears Rael later managed to get his hands on the Jedi's mask, relegating one of the Galaxy's greatest heroes to essentially being a museum piece from a bygone age. It's a grim ending for him, but also one that shows how the Jedi were viewed and treated during this dark time of Imperial rule in the Galaxy.

I like how you mention the slim possibility of us seeing him again...

...then mention we specifically see him explode in episode 3.

In fact that scene renders this entire article pointless because we already knew his fate nearly 2 decades ago.

@Origame - the articles on this site are becoming increasingly frustrating with their pointlessness and complete lack of journalistic objectivity.

Always liked his design. Wish we got more (something) out of his character in the movies

Since Disney Star Wars really likes filling in gaps with these shows, it would be interesting for those of us that have never watched the cartoons or read the comics to get more of these Jedi. A lot of them, like this dude, looked and seemed so cool and we’ve gotten next to nothing of them in live action.

Reveals the fate of Plo Koon?

He literally blew up on camera in Revenge of the Sith. His fate was shown there. He died.

His mask is just his mask and it may not even be his. It only looks like his mask so you can’t be sure

And his mask’s fate is not his fate. He’s already dead.

I mean, we literally saw him shot out of the sky over Cato Neimoidia in Revenge of the Sith, so his fate has hardly been a mystery.
