OBI-WAN KENOBI Star Ewan McGregor Seems Confident About The Chances Of A Season 2 On Disney+

Obi-Wan Kenobi proved itself a joyous experience for Star Wars fans, and there's an appetite for more. Thankfully, Ewan McGregor seems confident he'll return to this Galaxy Far, Far Away. Check it out!

Over the course of just six episodes, Obi-Wan Kenobi delivered more than its fair share of exciting surprises and reveals. The story culminated with an epic lightsaber duel with Darth Vader and the return of Qui-Gon Jinn (well, his Force Ghost), setting the stage for where we found "Ben" in A New Hope

While that could quite easily be it for Ewan McGregor's Jedi Master, the series has left fans eager for more, and you have to believe this character's story could continue on the streaming service. Remember, in this timeline, we still have another 10 years to go before the Jedi meets Luke Skywalker and embarks on one final adventure before falling to Vader in battle.

No matter whether Obi-Wan crosses paths with that Sith Lord again or we even get to see Star Wars Rebels' clash with Maul in live-action, a possible season 2 could take us to a lot of exciting places.

Talking during a recent Celebrity Fan Fest convention (via SFFGazette.com), McGregor, who also executive produced Obi-Wan Kenobi, shared an optimistic update about possible future plans. "I'm totally up for it guys, I wanna do it," he told delighted fans. "I'm absolutely honest, there is no plan to make one yet."

"But I think, I'm pretty sure they're just biding their time. But nobody's approached me as of yet."

Obi-Wan Kenobi was officially announced during 2019's D23 Expo, and with that event set to take place on September 10, we're hopeful Lucasfilm might surprise us with some big news. It's no secret that the series was a huge hit on Disney+, so the streamer would be wise to revisit this corner of that Galaxy Far, Far Away, even if it's a few years from now.

Are you hopeful for an Obi-Wan Kenobi season 2? Let us know your thoughts down in the usual place.

how will the stretch the believability of Obi-Wan's "exile" this time

already got into connflict with inquisitors and Vader

what next Darth Maul, Boba Fett, Palpatine

At least limit it to something that can be kept on the down low and doesnt do any more damage to the credibility of Darth Vader's comments in episode 4

As long as they don't create more plot holes and work longer on the story and script, don't rush it.

I'd like to see Ewan start looking more closer to Alec Guinness' Kenobi with more grey hair and maybe a few minor prothstetics or CG.

I'd like to see Yoda speak to Kenobi through the force, he shows up just as Luke did in The Last Jedi, projecting himself across the galaxy while also learning how to become a force ghost from Qui-Gon.

I'd like to see more of Temuera Morrison as Captain Rex and also Saw Gerrera in season 2.

A time jump in the story with a final scene between him and Darth Maul.

He must've been teased with a kind of pitch of where Season 2 could take Obi-Wan if he is sharing this enthusiasm to revisit again that story. Maybe in the upcoming Disney event it will be revealed.

"We meet again, at last. The circle is now complete. When I left you I was but the learner. Now, I am the master."

This show KILLED the significance/relevance/gravitas/poignancy of this.

Maybe Vader and Obi Wan can fight again. And Obi Wan can win and leave him alive for a 3rd time.
