The Obi-Wan Kenobi series coming to Disney+ might be one of the most highly anticipated TV shows heading our way from Lucasfilm, and it's going to feature one heck of a cast.

Among the impressive ensemble is F9: The Fast Saga star Sung Kang, and over the weekend, it was reported that he's set to play Sith Inquisitor The Fifth Brother (who debuted in Star Wars Rebels). During a recent interview with Rotten Tomatoes, the actor shared his excitement for Obi-Wan Kenobi and talked about seeing Darth Vader and "Jedis" walking around on the show's set.

"The feeling that I get on set is every single crew member, you look in their eyes, and it’s like a kid going ‘I grew up watching Star Wars. Like, this is my dream to be here, to see one of the Star Wars characters, or the Darth Vader character or, you know, one of the Jedis walking around," Kang explained.

"No matter how old they are, it’s guys that do my makeup and stuff, and people who do the costumes, and all the set designers. There’s this feeling of legacy and it’s like everyone talks about history and why they feel so blessed to be here. there’s this history, there’s this kind of shared spirit and this passion of the connective tissue is all these Star Wars characters."

Reading between the lines here, it certainly feels like Kang's comments can be taken as confirmation that he shares scenes with the Sith Lord played Hayden Christensen. There have been rumours that some of the series will revolve around Vader and his Inquisitors hunting down the remaining Jedi, something that makes perfect sense given when Obi-Wan Kenobi takes place in the timeline.

I would really like to see some of Vader hunting down remaining Jedi. I don't need a whole series of it obviously, but beginning the series showing Vader killing some never before seen Jedi would be cool. But since they are using Inquisitors in this it will probably make more sense to show Vader just pulling the strings and giving orders, and actually the Inquisitor doing the killing. This will help build how serious a threat they are, since this will be their first time appearing in live action.

@CorndogBurglar - having the Inquisitors actually do some killing would be cool to see, because they didn't seem all that threatening in Rebels.

@Stinkor1 - Exactly what I came to point out. 'Jedi' is both singular and plural. This should be obvious to anyone who has seen the movies, especially the prequels.

Still don't understand why Hayden C is playing Vader. Vader will obviously be voiced by James EJ. And there is a 5 inch height difference between HC and David Prowse. Makes no sense.

The mention of Jedi makes me hope we’ll see a ton of Jedi alongside Obi. Imagine how hopefully he’d be going into a fight with like ten other Jedi beside him. Then Vader just dispatches of all of them with ease. Build on the terror of Vader.

They have one of the Mandalorian directors working on this, which is a good sign. Hopefully this series turns out to be a good send off that McGreggors Obi Wan deserves. He was one of the best parts of the prequels
