SUPERNATURAL: Come Get Your First Look At The Upcoming Spinoff Series WAYWARD SISTERS
Following that exciting fall finale, The CW has released a new promo & photos for the midseason premiere, which is also the backdoor pilot for the upcoming spinoff series Wayward Sisters! Come take a look!

After their last attempt at a Supernatural spinoff series didn't exactly pan out, The CW is finally ready to give the whole concept another go this January with the thirteenth season's midseason premiere, titled Wayward Sisters, an episode that will serve as a backdoor pilot for a potential series many fans have been clamoring for for several seasons now.
WIth Sam (Jared Padalecki) & Dean (Jensen Ackles) trapped in some unknown, alien world and Jack (Alexander Calvert) and Mary (Samantha Smith) trapped in the post-apocalpytic hellscape, it'll fall upon Jody Mills (Kim Rhodes) and new characters Paience (Clark Backo) and Kaia (Yadira Guevara-Prip) to rescue the Winchester brothers from their uncertain fates. They'll be joined in their quest by Donna (Briana Buckmaster) and Jody's foster daughters Claire (Kathryn Newton) and Alex (Katherine Ramdeen).
Showrunner Andrew Dabb, in an interview with Variety, explains how Wayward Sisters will fall more in line with the flagship series, “We think this episode steps up and has relationships and a big mythology that can support a show, but if the stars don’t align for us, they can just enjoy it as an episode of ‘Supernatural.' That’s important to us. I think a lot of the reason ‘Bloodlines’ turned so many people off was that it didn’t feel like an episode of ‘Supernatural.’ This feels like an episode of ‘Supernatural,’ and should it go forward, we would build on that DNA to make it feel unique and different but still part of that world.” Co-executive producer and the episode's writer Robert Berens then teases the tension-filled dynamic between the six women, who will all serve as series regulars if the series gets picked up in the spring, “It’s the tension between the two generations of ‘Wayward.’ Jody and Donna have a responsibility to protect and train these young women, and these young women are finding their strength. That family dynamic of conflict is going to be the core conflict of our series, They ultimately work together very beautifully, but the road there is very complicated.”

The exciting journey of the Winchester brothers continues as SUPERNATURAL enters its thirteenth season.
