Hello everyone, here in the subject of today is Venom and no not talking about the venom Bane get’s juiced up on. Venom has been one of Spider-Man’s greatest foes. I think we can all agree his story does need an update. With a solo film being announced I also think this is the perfect time. After seeing the way he was portrayed in Spider-Man 3 better not to repeat it again. Which is why I purpose Sony should reboot the character and his origins entirely. For once it will also please the fans while staying true to what the character is. Venom isn’t much of a complex character but he can be made into on. Eddie Brock is essential to the part of the role so they must keep him. The new Agent Venom costume would be better suited for live action than the symbiote form which would look just murky. The Agent Venom has a much more realistic approach in terms of film. Think of how Nolan revolutionized Batman’s suit. The next part will be to put him in a different setting. Spider-Man does not need to be in the universe at all making it separate would be essential. There are other characters he can come across. Mainly adding more original characters within for him to interact with. A new world, a world I was thinking was like The Matrix meets Tron in terms of mythology to place this character in. A place where can set mythology and development at once would be perfect. To make Eddie Brock the “Neo” of the film. The shining light who is really only the hero. Venom does not need to be the anti-hero or the villain. Making him plainly only the hero will make the audience better understand the character. It's important in many ways to keep comic book films in a simplistic manner but not over complicated. In terms of what I am saying, this is character that can be revolutionized. Read on to my concept idea before I get further into this.

CONCEPT IDEA: Eddie Brock is a video game programmer who is writing this game called “Venom”. Venom is this Call of Duty like game where you are a superhero named Venom who has to deal with a strange virtual world like the Matrix but it always changes. He goes to visit this gaming company called “Kramer Games” who he used to work for to try and get his game published. On the way there he gets stuck in traffic on bridge. Suddenly a loud explosion hits the sky and a meteor is slowly falling. The meteor hits the bridge where Eddie is stuck in traffic, it explodes. Suddenly Eddie wakes up in an empty white room. A figure suddenly appears in the room and it’s revealed to be Venom the video game character Eddie created. So Venom touches Eddie and transports him into the realistic digital world of the game Eddie has made. There trouble is amok as a glitch known as Icis has been created due to Eddie’s arrival in the world. Icis is the anti Venom prototype who wants to destroy the digital realm and merge himself with the human world. There once in the digital realm Eddie meets more characters he has created including a mysterious girl in a red dress named Flower and a man named Cross who is this all mighty figure like Morpheus. He also discovers there is more to the world he has created than he thinks.

ENDING: Eddie Brock and Venom team up to stop Icis. Icis becomes destroyed but particles of him still exist in the system. Eddie decides to rewrite the program to merge himself with Venom in order to become stronger to defeat the Icis clones. One clone of Icis forms inside the human world which sets up for a sequel. The president of the company called Kramer Games reveals he is actually the one that created Icis in order to steal Eddie’s work. The meteor that hit the Earth was really a particle from the digital realm that caused Eddie to be merged inside his game.

CASTING CHOICES: Since this is an editorial I don't want to talk much about casting but if I had to choose some choices in mind for my concept. Garrett Hedlund as Eddie Brock and Aaron Paul as Venom.

There is still a possibility Spider-Man can exist in the universe but it does not need to be in the same at all in conjunction. Well what do you think? I can't wait to see what Sony does with Venom and hopefully they will read this out. Thank you for reading and always leave a comment below!

Thank god that it's Jacky cause i was about to rain terror on you. If you changed the names and someone presented this to a movie Studio i could see them picking up a script actually.

You lost me at "The new Agent Venom costume would be better suited for live action..." That's blasphemy. No one cares about Agent Venom. That's not why studios are so interested in Venom. It's Eddie Brock's Venom that made the character immensely popular. Name one memorable line this Agent Venom person is known for. Here's some from Brock:

I'll eat your brains!

We will rip out your spline and suck the marrow from your bones!

We are Venom.

After shooting a webline at Spider-Man's foot, he says, "Heel!" Venom then yanks him down to the floor and says, "Now, sit!"

There's even an incident where Spider-Man comments that Venom doesn't even know where his spline is. They agree that it's just a funny word to use.

CLASSIC!

As bad as Spiderman 3 was, at least the captured the visual of Venom. I think the classic Venom look will serve. I think part 3 just wanted him to be a polar opposite of Spidey. He's much more brutal and fearsome. Also just curious, in the recent comics Venom is a good guy? Is Anti-Venom his villain or Spideys?

I remember writing this for SHH! way back in 2007. The script features Shocker as the villain to Eddie Brock's Venom: http://forums.superherohype.com/showthread.php?t=299159
