Lady Gaga Fans Are Now Blaming DC Fans For Trolling VENOM With Fake Negative Reviews
Yesterday, we told you how Lady Gaga fans are trying to sabotage Venom in order to ensure A Star Is Born is a success but in a pretty bizarre twist, they're now attempting to blame DC fanboys...
Venom isn't receiving particularly good reviews from critics and while it's too early to say what sort of impact that will have on the chances of the movie's box office success, it probably doesn't bode well for Sony's first live-action Spider-Verse spinoff. Despite that, some Lady Gaga fans - "Little Monsters" - have taken it upon themselves to try and sabotage the Marvel movie with fake negative reviews.
The plan is seemingly to put people off Venom so they'll go and see A Star Is Born Instead, a movie which features Lady Gaga's first major acting role and one which some pundits believe will earn her an Oscar. However, in a story which keeps getting weirder, fans of the singer turned actress are now flocking to social media to claim that DC fans are actually responsible for these bots attacking Venom.
One claimed that, "Those are DC fans. They’re trying to pin in it on us Lady Gaga fans. They’re the one who started it. I know a big DC fan account who’s making these troll accounts." They may be trying to pass the buck or there could be some truth to that but the fact is, it doesn't make much sense for DC fans to take aim at a movie which is being released by Sony Pictures instead of Marvel Studios.
