VENOM: LET THERE BE CARNAGE Digital And Blu-ray Release Date And Special Features Revealed

Sony Pictures has shared the Digital and Blu-ray release dates for Venom: Let There Be Carnage, and as well as six deleted scenes, we're getting quite a few featurettes as well. Find more details here...

Venom: Let There Be Carnage has earned over $400 million at the worldwide box office, and while that's less than half of what the first movie made in 2018, it's a phenomenal result in this "pandemic era." Now, it's been confirmed by Sony Pictures that the Marvel Comics adaptation will be released on Digital on November 23 and on DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K UHD on December 14.

With that news comes details on the sequel's special features. It's pretty standard content for the most part, though we are intrigued by what those six deleted scenes from the 90-minute movie might be.

  • Outtakes & Bloopers
  • 6 Deleted Scenes
  • Eddie & Venom: The Odd Couple: What happens when two beings inhabit one body? A whole lot of chaos. Tom Hardy, Andy Serkis, and the team of filmmakers talk all things Eddie and Venom.
  • Sick and Twisted Cletus Kasady: Imagining this iconic and psychotic comic book villain for screen with Woody Harrelson, director Andy Serkis, and the production team.
  • Concept to Carnage: Trace the design and animation of Carnage from comic book image to screen symbiotic.
  • Let There Be… Action: Go on the set and experience the action of how Venom: Let There Be Carnage takes shape. From concept to stage, from green screen to film screen, follow the making of the film and see the intense stunts that were captured.
  • And more!

So, not a bad selection all things considered! With that Digital release just days away, we're anticipating learning more about the deleted scenes soon, though we may have seen at least one of them.

"Venom: Let There Be Carnage is the ultimate Marvel movie," we said in our review of the movie. "[Seeing] Venom and Carnage clash is a comic book fan’s dream come true, but the epic action is bolstered by incredible visuals, some big laughs, and a surprising amount of heart."

This film was even worse than the first. Such a shame because Hardy is perfecr casting, and Harrelson had potential for a great Carnage, if he weren’t reduced to a PG love whipped dupe. How someone like Serkis could decide to double down on the worst prts of the first without improving any of the faults is beyond me. I hated this stupid, stupid movie.

@connorblaze - I agree with you. but it seems to be doing well, so, it will likely be looked at as a win in their books.

@connorblaze - I usually say people around here are being dramatic and most movies aren’t bad they’re just average but man what the Fck was let there be carnage

@connorblaze - Like DarkeyeZ stated, it is a win for them. The success of the first one told them all they needed to know.

And, since most people seeing these Venom films are not comic book fans, they have nothing else to compare the characters with, so most of what you are complaining about didn't look stupid to them. From their point of view, they films are very different and pretty cool.

@LSHF - yup. Film makers don't go online to websites to check what people are saying about their movies. hell, Eternals will likely prove to Marvel to even ignore Rotten tomatoes scores.
Money talks, BS walks.
so if people support this stuff, this stuff will keep happening. That's how business works. And casual fans are more easily entertained than die hards. we would all enjoy the movies if we lowered our expectations.
I WON'T lower my expectations, but, these movies would be more enjoyable if I did.

@DarkeyeZ - "I WON'T lower my expectations, but, these movies would be more enjoyable if I did."

Agreed. My only expectations are that I will see most of what is in the trailers, and they "are" more enjoyable that way, which is why I won't raise mine. I love enjoying movies.

I hope you enjoy the Morbius film, though.

@LSHF - I'm not a huge Jared Leto fan, but I hope the movie is good and changes my mind. I want ALL of the movies to be good. People on here that hate on movies and basically want them to fail before they are even released, are NOT fans.
I want all the comic book movies to be awesome, which is why I STILL root for DC even after seeing them make bad decision after bad decision.
I also have a feeling that Sonys Spider-Man universe isn't going to do very well, but i hope it does....

I'm loving the shortened theater run. Was thinking about going to Venom last night with my daughter and then realized I can just buy it Tuesday and own it outright. Cheaper in the longrun.

Hurts the box office, sure, and normally we would have seen it in theaters, but cold and flu season has hit us hard this year so far. It's nice to not have to wait too long to be able to watch it at home as an alternative.

@thewanderer - yeah I agree, I live in a really remote town so it's great watching stuff so soon after it's cinematic release. Made me realise that bar a few films e.g. Dune or The Last Duel, at home watching isn't that much worse than cinema - although I do love/miss the cinema
LSHF
LSHF - 11/19/2021, 1:41 PM
@thewanderer - I prefer watching most of them at home, as long as I can handle spoilers in the meantime.

thewanderer - 11/19/2021, 2:24 PM
@LSHF - it depends. We have a decent theater setup in the basement, but I still prefer to see something like Dune, or the MCU movies, in a real theater. Things like Mortal Kombat and King Richard, I'm fine watching at home.
thewanderer
thewanderer - 11/19/2021, 2:25 PM
@Cap1 - yea the only drawback at home is being distracted by your phone, kids, etc...its easier to zone in to the movie at the theater.
LSHF
LSHF - 11/19/2021, 2:27 PM
@thewanderer - You're correct. I just hate dealing with crowds.

I usually only like to see films at the theater during the weekday matinee showings, when I can usually get the entire room mostly to myself.

If I'm in no hurry, then I'll see it at home.
