Arkham City Rating?

This is a bit of a shock.

Today while I was at my local Gamestop I saw An Arkham city banner.
On the other side of the banner they had the case for the game. The case had the pic of the one shown above, but I looked to the rating it was a big..... M. It was rated for blood and gore, intense violence, and language. So is this what Arkham has been rated or was it maybe just a fake sign? If its real then I say hell yeah to a bloody violent Batman game. I've always wanted Batman game where he gets his hands very very dirty, but thats just me. Arkham comes to Xbox 360 and PS3 on October 18.

So what do you think? Sound off in the comments and let me know!

That'd be interesting to see if it is M. I personally prefer T, but I wouldn't say no to M if it's for violence.

This doesn't really need to be rated M at all.

I don't understand the rating system for games, is M the equivelent of an 18/ R rated movie?
And guys c'mon, she's a cgi character! Who wants that, really? Just buy a magazine or google some dirty sites or something!

M really isn't a hardcore rating. I'm pretty sure Halo was rated M and Halo wasn't very violent at all, there's not even any blood in that. Maybe purple alien blood or something. M is pretty much equivalent to a PG-13 movie and sometimes depending on the game an R movie. Every slightly violent game usually gets an M unless it shows like fullblown nudity or something then it'll get AO/17. And no video game store actually carries those.

About f**king time someone gave us a mature Batman game, much like the Wolverine game. Not every superhero game should be just for kids.

The gamestop guys probably put that up as a joke. My buddy works at a gamestop and they put an M rating on Little Big Planet 2 until it was officially rated. :P

Highly doubt it. Arkham Asylum was amazing and never once did I pause and think this could stand to be bloodier, or that Joker should use ethnic slurs.

Batman might not be for kids, but he isn't an exploitation genre figure either.

Unless there's a scene of Harley and Poison Ivy getting it, then it's okay.

You know what I bet it was actually because the thugs and boss fights were starting to piss Bats off so now theres no more "No Killing Rule"

So now we can do this-

One hit takedown.
