This recent post on the Evil Avatar Forum indicates what seems to be a Ubisoft research for a possible Assassin's Creed movie and also a Ghost Recon movie!



A reader from Evil Avatar just sent me a survey he received, indicating that Ubisoft may be considering creating a movie based on the Ghost Recon and Assassin's Creed licenses. The survey asks several questions regarding viewing habits of movies, what your favorite movies, actors and directors are, then goes into a whole piece regarding movies based on video games.

Then the survey gets more specific, asking questions regarding what the submitter would want out of a movie based upon Ghost Recon, specifically where the movie would fall in line of the overall Ghost Recon timeline and which special Recon teams would be the focus.

Following the Ghost Recon section, the survey asks a similar question regarding what the submitter would want to see out of an Assassin's Creed movie, including exploring Ezio and Subject 16 further, as well as possibly focusing on a new assassin.

They should make a movie about on Ac series through Subject 16's perspective and not touch the Desmond part

If an AC movie is happening, base it off of Subject 16 or someone new, we've had enough of Ezio and no one can do Altair justice.

also leave MGS alone, unless its animated like FF:Spirits Within, with Kojima overseeing it and with Hayter...

LOL A 5 hour movie consisting of climbing very, very tall buildings, lol! Nah, I love the games, movie won't work though.

The film has to have Ezio as the main character or else don't waste the film. Assassin's Creed 2 is as good as a game gets!!!!!!!!!

They had a good little film for assassins creed 2 and it was pretty good. I just hope they do it right!

I freaking knew this would happen someday! I had the idea for ASSASSINS CREED THE MOVIE, I had ideas and stories, layed-out, but what the hell am i saying; well whoever does it? But not [frick]-it-up, because if they do i swear, I'll become Ezio myself, and do some assassin-shit!

@ASSASSIN666 Desmond IS the main character..
Remember Ezio or Altair aren't possible unless Desmond is in the animus. They are HIS DNA memories.
Minerva even talks directly to Desmond, and not Ezio at all, when he discovers her.
The story isn't really possible without all three main characters though, and they all look exactly the same, scar included, so really they should all be in it. It would be a good chance for an actor to show his chops, playing three very different people, who are all master assassins.

Both Altair and Enzio Storyline would be cool. But absolutely no Desmond, it will ruin the movie.

@Vancitykid. I've not had enough of Ezio. I think the 3rd game could be a knock out just like ACB was if they stick with Ezio one more round. Eventually though they will focus on Desmond.

I wouldn't hold your breath for this. Rainbow Six and Splinter Cell were supposed to come out 2 years ago and now they're in development hell.

Assassin's Creed; To everyone who says ignore Desmond - if you've played all the games so far, you'll know Desmond is the main character and integral to the overal story. You can't have Assassin's Creed without him. He's reliving memories from Altair and Ezio in order for Abstergo to find the Pieces of Eden in 2012 remember. Without this, it would be just another run of the mill film set in either the Crusades or renaissance Italy. That's what made the games; a cleverly woven plot stretching from 1191 up untill 2012. It's the most complex storyline for a video game to date imo.
Assassin's Creed Lineage was good though.

Ghost Recon; I suppose it could work as a film. My guess is they'll base it on Advanced Warfighter or the forever getting delayed Future Soldier. Anything else would just be like watching Green Zone or The Kingdom all over again.

But I'm not getting excited. You hear rumours like this all the time.

@ SuspenseSmith; I haven't seen it myself so I can't say, but everyone else has told me how awful Prince of Persia was.

if they make this movie, they will probably just change the story and possibly come up with new characters like they do in other video game movies.

orlando bloom would be terrible... no hollywood actor would make this film watchible needs to be an indy film focus on the writing not on "A-list" actors. Take the nolan approach make it as realistic as possible
