Good old DUKE NUKEM is heading our way in 2011 after thirteen long years. Well, people attending Penny Arcade Expo in Seattle will get first dibs on one of the best shooting games ever.
3DRealms developed the first game in 1996. They ran out of money during the lawsuit when they wanted to produce a sequel.
Gearbox Software has stepped up to the plate to help create this continuation of Duke Nukem.
"Gearbox has enabled die-hard key Duke Nukem franchise builders and skilled veteran game makers to stand together and deliver,” said Randy Pitchford, president of Gearbox Software. “All gamers deserve a happy ending and after all of us gamers feeling the full range of emotions about Duke Nukem Forever, I am thrilled to be in a position with the trust, power and means to make it happen.” (Yahoo Games).
