After director David O. Russell explained his family dynamic plans for the adaption of the smash hit video game series some fans were left a little confused. Then came the choice to cast Mark Wahlberg as the games main character Nathan Drake, which left fans once again scratching their heads. While speaking to Joystiq Justin Richmond, a developer for the game denies the family Dynamic:

“First of all, all that stuff was denied by David O. Russell. He actually called us up and was like, ‘I don’t know what these guys are talking about.’”

Richmond also went on to deny that Wahlberg is confirmed for the lead role of Nathan Drake:

“Mark Wahlberg isn’t anywhere near to being confirmed to play Nathan Drake either — it’s just Hollywood scuttlebutt, apparently.”

Richmond also had this to say about the fans wanting Firefly and Serenity star Nathan Fillion for the role of Nathan Drake:

“Message received.”

As of now the Uncharted movie has no release date or any confirmed stars but will be directed by David O. Russell.
