The video game was developed and published by Square Enix (as most Final Fantasy games are), and features characters from all over the Final Fantasy cosmos. Although the Final Fantasy series has been around for over 20 years, there has yet to be a game like Dissidia released.
The game is basically a battle between good and evil; heroes and villains. The strongest and toughest from the entire Final Fantasy series have teamed up together and taken sides against the other. Some of the characters on the hero's side include Cloud Strife, Squall Leonheart, Zidane Tribal, Tidus, and for the old gamers, Cecil Harvey and Terra Branford. The villains side is equally strong, however, and boasts Kefka Palazzo, Sephiroth, Ultimecia, Kuja, Jecht and Galbranth
