Greetings fellow Zelda fans, a short film based on the game "Majora's Mask" of Legend of Zelda fame is currently being produced by up and coming filmmaker Jared Potter. According to Jared the short may take place a bit before the actual events of the game but will of course lead into it.
-Chronologically, the video takes place before the start of the video game, Potter said.
“This (video) is really for Zelda fans,” Potter said. “I think people who don’t know the story will enjoy it to a certain extent, but that scene at the end (of the video), fans will really recognize.”
Majora's Mask was always a personal favorite of mine and with Machinima apparently shoveling money into the project, I'm optimistic. Hopefully they show the origins for the mask or how Skull Kid stole it from the Happy Mask Salesman.
The site continued by saying...
His newest short film, based on the “Legend of Zelda” video game “Majora’s Mask,” will premiere online on the YouTube channel of Machinima, a video gaming and video streaming website. The premiere, originally scheduled for Thanksgiving, has been postponed. A new date has not yet been set.
So while we may be able to see this short by sometime next year, the date is still subject to hop around like Bunny Link in the Dark World.
Unfortunately I am unable to post pictures with this article as I am using my Android and the option to upload pictures is not viable.
As a huge fan of the series, I am definitely looking forward to this. And who knows. Maybe we will get to catch a glimpse of the crazy looking moon as it looms over Clock Town. Share your thoughts below! Oh and just an FYI. The Legend of Zelda series spawned its own comics. So this is comic related.
