The latest update for Marvel Future Fight was announced today, and the focus of this event will be on the heroes of the Netflix Defenders series. Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and Iron Fist are all present and rocking brand new looks.
What's even more interesting is that the entire event is going to be centered around Mephisto. There is an all-new arena for players to face off against the Lord of the Underworld in, as the supervillain is featured as the World Boss Legend. Additionally, Ikaris, the leader of the Eternals, is a playable character.
These updates for the mobile games are often timed around events in the comics or MCU characters themselves. With Eternals hitting this November, it makes sense to have Ikaris on board. Daredevil is heavily rumored to be involved in Spider-Man: No Way Home, which lands in December, while the rights to Luke Cage, Jewel, and Iron Fist are now returning to Marvel Studios.
Most of these characters make sense to feature, and when it comes to Mephisto, it's certainly interesting that this super villain is getting so much attention now during the height of the character's hype online, with everyone expecting him to appear in WandaVision. Those disappointed are still expecting to see Marvel's version of the devil on screen in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which hits in under a year.
While these characters were previously available in the game, their updated looks are a great improvement. Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist have respectively received their Fall From Grace, Jewel, Uptown Suit, and The Living Weapon costumes.
