RAMPAGE Toy Images Reveal Full Character Designs For The Other Giant Creatures, Lizzie And Ralph

Some promo images for the upcoming Rampage toy-line have been unearthed, giving us a much better idea of how the giant wolf (Ralph) and crocodile (Lizzie) will be depicted in the video game adaptation...

Though they were briefly glimpsed in the trailer, we now have a much better idea of the full character designs for the other genetically altered animals that will be accompanying George on his Rampage.

The giant beasts will obviously look quite a bit different in all their big-screen CG glory, but these promo images for the upcoming video game flick do gives us our first proper look at Ralph (wolf) and Lizzie (croc), and leave little doubt that The Rock is going to have his hands full with these guys.

Rampage is set to stomp into theaters on April 20.

Man, I remember Ralph and Lizzie being bipedal. Wish it were like that. Lizzie would be more of a Kaiju then :(

@Ragnarocknroll - They would all be Kaiju. Aren't Kaiju just giant monsters? I don't think they need to be reptiles.

But yeah, all the monsters stood up on two legs in the old game. Would have been better like that. I can't see Lizzie and Ralph climbing buildings and punching holes in the sides, or grabbing people out of windows and eating them like this.

@CorndogBurglar - they want a movie about three giant mutated monsters to be "grounded"

This is gonna be a fun movie.

Lol!
They already failed.

Unreal that the game is 3 creatures in two legs and they just are unable to do something that simple.

I played Rampage because I loved Godzilla. And the Lizard Monster was the closet to being Godizilla as was available at that point. Before that Godzilla vs All Monsters for Nintendo.

So you take away the only nostalgic connection from this movie and now...no use for this film.

@IronGenesis - Agreed. Part of my love for the original game was that fantasy of role playing as both King Kong and Godzilla in the same friggin game was awesome. Making Lizzie a Mega-crocodile just takes away from that fantasy :(

@IronGenesis - Yeah. Doesn't that seem to be the way in Hollywood though?

Its like Battleship. How can you mess up a concept of Naval ships battling each other in the ocean? Yep, add aliens that don't even use ships.

This is no different. Now they are just giant animals. In the old games the monsters were mutated people. In the old game, when you "died", your monster would shrink back down to their human form and then the other players, if they wanted to be dicks, could eat you and force a game over for you lol. But still, removing the human side just makes these big animals. I don't see Lizzie or Ralph climbing buildings and punching holes in things.

Such an easy concept....

@CorndogBurglar - when I first heard that Johnson was in this movie I wondered which monster he was going to transform into. Lol.

This has Godzilla 98 written all over it.

@IronGenesis - I know, I remember playing the flash version of this game back in the late 90s early 2000s, and it was so much fun. The whole transformation concept was neat with the giant wolf-man, and giant lizard-person.

This movie looks like it automatically fails because they took away the human centered sci-fi of a Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde scenario, but with people turning into giant bi-pedal animal-human hybrids.

I was interested, but I think I'm gonna give this one a pass. Especially cause as someone up above in an earlier comment pointed out, and I agree... I think they did this as an attempt to try "grounding" an already ridiculous concept that made the game so great =/

Why arent they all bipedal. They're just giant versions of animals in this movie .-.

still on fence about the designs but as long as the monsters team up to destroy the military and city then they will given this movie justice. The whole point of the game was to have fun destroying shit together!

@MrNegative - Very true. The angle I wish they would have addressed was the regular people turning in to giant monsters and changing back every so often...just like the game.

That would have been more interesting than just another genetic mutation movie.

@411IDSigo - agreed and it would have made it more silly/fun like what the game is compared to the serious tone they seem to be taking

i think these guys did the kong skull island toys too.

Seriously? Toys?!?

The movie is going to be just another Dwayne Johnson B-Movie, borefest.

Do they really think kids are going to run out and get toys for this?

Maybe they should instead recreate the video game from the 80's since that is what this silly movie is based on.....and loosely.
