RATCHET & CLANK: RIFT APART Trailer Finally Reveals When We'll Be Able To Play The PS5 Game

It was thought Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart was going to be a launch title on the PlayStation 5, but this new trailer reveals when we'll be able to get our hands on the game. Find out more details here...

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart was expected to be a launch title on the PlayStation 5, but that didn't happen, possibly due to COVID-19. It was never announced as one, however, and Insomniac Games was still able to help kick the PS5's run off with Spider-Man: Miles Morales

Now, though, we finally know when we'll be able to get our hands on the game: June 11th, 2021.

"Go dimension-hopping with Ratchet and Clank as they take on an evil emperor from another reality," reads the newly released synopsis. "Jump between action-packed worlds and beyond at mind-blowing speeds – complete with dazzling visuals and an insane arsenal – as the intergalactic adventurers blast onto the PS5 console."

With this news comes a promo putting the spotlight both on Ratchet, and the game's new female Lombax. The visuals here are mind-blowing, and it's clear Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart will make full use of the PS5's technology (likely in a similar way to Astro's Playroom).

Some pre-order exclusives for the game, along with the cover art, has also been released. On the PlayStation website, Rift Apart is described as having a "standalone" story, so you won't need an in-depth knowledge of the previous instalments to follow what's going on.
