CD Projekt RED has been coming under fire ever since Cyberpunk 2077 was released, and it's not hard to see why. They only made the PC version available to reviewers before the game arrived in stores, and when players got their hands on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions...well, to call them an unmitigated disaster would be an understatement. Just take a look at this video!
On consoles, the game looks like a PS3 or Xbox 360 title, and the list of glitches appears to grow every time someone boots Cyberpunk 2077 up. CD Projekt RED's response to misleading and lying to gamers has been dismal, telling them to go and get refunds either directly from Sony and Microsoft or from the store they purchased it from (that's easier said than done).
Now, though, Sony has weighed in by taking undeniably drastic measures with the game.
The company has completely removed Cyberpunk 2077 from the PlayStation Store, and is offering a refund to anyone who wants one. While patches are on the way, it's looking increasingly unlikely that the game will be anywhere near playable before the Spring, and while CD Projekt RED claim to have already recouped development costs, they need to make this up to fans.
