The first trailer for 20th Century Fox and Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed has finally arrived. Watch as Callum Lynch (Michael Fassbender) is thrust into the secret age-old war between the Assassins and the Templar Order, while reliving the memories of his ancestor Aguilar de Nerha, a member of the Assassins. Callum will relive Aguilar's memories through the Animus, a device that allows him to explore the lives of his ancestors, and the key to his survival.
The film has been confirmed to be canon to the Assassin's Creed game universe, and it will feature important characters from the game series, such as Alan Rikkin (Jeremy Irons), the CEO of Abstergo Industries, and the grand master of the Templar Order. Why Rikkin has emerged from the shadows remains a mystery, but if the Grand Master of the Templar Order is involved, then things will not bode well for Callum. Do you think Assassin's Creed will break the video game movie curse?
