Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced today the characters arriving in the Champions Character Pack for Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2.

The game's next DLC will add characters from Marvel Comics' popular Champions comic book series, including Amadeus Cho, Nova, Ironheart, Devil Dinosaur, Moon Girl, Viv, Wasp (Nadia Pym) and Hawkeye (Kate Bishop). This will bring the game’s overall roster to over 200 playable Super Heroes characters, with more on the way.

The Champions are a group of teenage Super Heroes started by three Avengers disillusioned by the behavior of their elders and the general state of distrust by the people towards super-powered beings. Eager to show the world what it truly means to be a Super Hero, they formed their own team and soon recruited other teenagers with similar ideals to their cause. Together they are determined to change the world their own way!

The upcoming Champions pack will be priced at $1.99 if purchased separately from the Season Pass (which provides access to six Level Packs and four Character Packs, including the previously released Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, and the Out of Time and Agents of Atlas Character Packs). The Season Pass is available for $14.99

@Forthas - There's no way they can mess this up.

@Forthas - He's been saying that for the past 15 years.

Also that Spawn would not be the main character, but more like a Boogey Man type thing that people talk about but don't really know of he exists.

That could change of course, but McFarlane has been talking about this movie for what seems like forever.

@CorndogBurglar - Did McFarlane have any influence in the first film...because Spawn seemed like a "superhero" to me in that one.

@Forthas - I don't know how much influence he had in the old Spawn film, but yeah, that did feel like a superhero film.....and bad....rated R superhero film.

@TheManWithoutFear - Yeah thats correct. Which is pretty impressive considering no X-Men characters are in it. Not a single one.

@Shadowmaster35 - That will all change soon. We'll be getting games actually starring the X-Men again once everything finally reverts to Marvel officially.

@CorndogBurglar - really hoping so. Not a big fan of the shaft that them and the FF have been getting over the last few years.
