VIDEO GAMES: Marvel Confirms THE AVENGERS PROJECT Will Be Revealed During Square Enix's E3 Broadcast

Marvel's Avengers will finally assemble during the Square Enix Live E3 2019 broadcast next month. Formerly referred to as The Avengers Project, we'll get our first look at the mysterious game on June 10.

After years of radio silence, Square Enix will finally lift the lid on its mysterious Avengers game. Previously referred to as The Avengers Project, the publisher officially confirmed that the game - now simply called Marvel's Avengers - will be properly revealed to the world on June 10 during Square Enix's E3 broadcast.

The Avengers Project was first announced in December 2017 with a brief teaser that offered little in terms of context. We've learned little about the game since then, but that will hopefully change next month.

Marvel's Avengers seems to be at least somewhat inspired by the Marvel Cinematic Universe's take on the beloved characters, but will feature a "completely original story" that "will introduce a universe gamers can play in for years to come." It almost sounds as if Square Enix and developer Crystal Dynamics are building their own Marvel Game Universe, and this will be the foundation. The trailer teased the core members of the Avengers, but the initial description also suggested the game "will be packed with all the characters, environments, and iconic moments that have thrilled longtime fans of the franchise."

Square Enix's E3 broadcast will take place on Monday, June 10 at 6:00 p.m. PT.

I hope it's not a MUA style game. I want it to be a TPP story driven game.

Also, they're calling it "Marvel's Avengers" like "Marvel's Spider-Man", hopefully there's some connection.
