Christina Hendricks Expresses Interest In Playing Wonder Woman!

In a recent interview on talk show Rachael Ray, the actress best known for her acclaimed role in the TV series Mad Men, was quizzed about reports that she's been approached with offers to play the iconic DC superhero. While it appears that they were in fact nothing but rumours, Hendricks enthusiastically revealed that she'd love to play Wonder Woman! Here is an excerpt from the report over at Digital Spy:



"I heard that rumour too - I don't know where it got started but I love it! I've been wanting to wear that outfit my whole life! I'd love to do it. That would be such fun. Let's put it out there!"


This isnt the actresses first involvement with the DC Universe as she has already signed on to lend her vocal talents to Lois Lane in the upcoming animated feature, All-Star Superman. What do you guys think about her playing Wonder Woman? Be sure to share your thoughts in the usual place!

I think they should give her the role. (big or small screen) She's a quality actress and actually looks the part if you imagine her with dark hair. Plus, she has huge boobs. I would go and see this movie 100x just to see them bounce about in that Wonder Woman costume. :D

i think i like it. her body is smoking, although wonderwoman is kinda muscular and curvy whereas christina is just plain curvy (in such a good way)

You guys are off your rockers.. she would be a terrible wonder woman.. She's beautiful no doubt and she has the figure of a modern day Jane Mansfield but she is not athletic wouldn't convincingly pull of an action scene and she has the FLATTEST ASS I've ever seen.. Megan Gale was much more accurate even though she lacked the rack to really do Wonder Woman justice but that's not something modern science couldn't remedy..

Don't get me wrong.. I love Christina Hendricks.. I could watch her in anything even fully clothed but Wonder Woman is not the role for her..

Maybe they'll do a live action Where's Roger Rabbit and she can play Jessica.. she'd kill in that dress..

I do, however, believe a few trips to the gym and a nice dye job would make her the quintessential Power Girl.

I've never seen one episode of Mad Men, but from what I understand, she's a really good actress. She's definitely got the curves for it. Height is another factor to take into account. How tall is she? If she were cast, she would have to do some training, which means she would definitely get into fighting shape. There's no doubt that she is gorgeous, though. Any woman who appreciates her curves is awesome in my book. It's always a huge turn-on when a woman is that confident in herself and her body, especially when they don't fit the bill of the stereotypical, "Hollywood" version of what beauty is.

@Leee- Yeah, man. She's definitely got the boobs for Power Girl :), but I always pictured someone young, like early twenties/college aged playing her. Doesn't change the fact that I would love to see her in the costume, though. :)

There's a difference between curvy and fat. Christina Hendricks has an hourglass shape. When I think fat, I think pear shaped.

I consider Christina Hendricks to be smokin' hot and a great actress . . . but she is age 35 right now. Nothing wrong with that, of course, as she shows how sexy a slightly more mature lady can be. And she is not "fat." The Hollywood stereotype is too thin. Ain't nuthin' wrong with some awesome curves. Hendricks is no "fatter" than Marilyn Monroe.

But if they are going to make a Wonder Woman film or TV show, they need a younger actress, probably in the mid to late 20's.
