At this year’s Comikaze Expo, Lady Sif herself, Jaimie Alexander, moderated the AMC panel discussion “Movie Talk” and revealed that she has met with Warner Bros. regarding a possible superhero roles, while also stating that she felt Ben Affleck would be great for this interpretation of Batman because she knew a little about the story of Zack Snyder's sequel. Now this caused the internet to immediately put two and two together and get "Jaimie Alexander is up for a role in Batman Vs Superman!" But of course that may not be the case at all -- and the further suggestion that this role could be Wonder Woman is even more speculative. But, as with all of these things, you just never know! Forbes' Mark Hughes caught up with Alexander after the panel and asked her about these revelations, and whether she was in fact referring to Princess Diana. Here's a chunk of his report.
Alexander laughed slyly, saying, “I would love for DC to put Wonder Woman in one of their upcoming flicks, either in her own movie or Batman vs. Superman, or just something even to introduce her.” Getting more to the point regarding her earlier comments, Alexander explained carefully, “Being in the comic book world, we know a lot of the same people at DC and Marvel, so we hear a lot of things, but it’s all speculation right now. But I would absolutely love that [Wonder Woman appearing in one of the upcoming films]. Thankfully and gratefully, I’m appreciative to the people who ask my opinion of the character, and that’s been pretty amazing.”
So, does that mean she's heard whispers of Wonder Woman getting an introductory appearance in the
Man Of Steel sequel? We've already heard those whispers ourselves of course, but it sounds like Alexander is hearing them from some inside circles. Either way, the actress is obviously unwilling to reveal too much about this (and who could blame her!) so we'll have to see how all of this shakes out. One thing is certain though; if she did land that role of any other in a DC movie, I can't see many fans complaining.
