Nathan Fillion of Serenity to Voice Col. Trevor in Wonder Woman Animated Movie

As a child of the 80’s I have what many would deem an unnatural love for animated television. Thus, I always get a little bit excited when I hear good voice-casting news. For the Wonder Woman animated feature coming soon, it’ll be Serenity.

Bad puns aside though, Nathan Fillion, who has starred in Joss Whedon’s Buffy and Firefly, and the Firefly sequel movie Serenity, will be voicing Steve Trevor in the upcoming Wonder Woman animated movie. Starring alongside Felicity’s Keri Russell, this is a fine team up!

Wikipedia describes Trevor (for those who are unsure); ‘in the original version of Wonder Woman's origin story, Steve Trevor was an intelligence officer in the United States Army during World War II whose plane crashed in the isolated homeland of the Amazons. He was nursed back to health by the Amazon princess Diana, who fell in love with him and followed him when he returned to the outside world, where she became Wonder Woman (and also his coworker, Diana Prince.)’

Nathan Fillion is a perfect choice for this role. You will have to believe me if you haven’t seen him, but for those who have, you’ll agree with me that his voice and his acting abilities will make him a perfect opposite number to Keri Russell.
