New screenwriters Jennison and Strickland are laughing all the way to the bank. Having written a World War 2 based, Wonder Woman, spec script Warner Brothers And Silver Pictures are negotiating a cheque.
Silver Pictures and Warner Bros. have no intention of making a period piece out of this project, but say they enjoyed the script.
So why buy two script when you already have one written by Joss Whedon? Now while the whole legal ramifications are not completely clear, the aim of the maneuver was to avoid litigation. Purchasing a script now is peanuts compared to having to dish out tons of cash later if they get sued because of similarities in the scripts.
