KeepItReal came up with this pic on my previous article on the matter and totally blew me out the water! Forever has Lucy Lawless portrayed the perfect image of Wonder Woman on her show Xena: Warrior Princess. It is a shame that they have waited all this time to start working on a Wonder Woman movie. Well i say there is still hope of actually finding a PERFECT actress for the role and here she is.

My Sketch of Jodi Lyn O'Keefe as Wonder Woman!!!

I used to watch the hell out of zena:warrior princess, and now that i think about it, yea she would be perfect to play wonder woman, 10 years ago, I just cant see a 41 year old woman playing wonderwoman, she can play Hippolyta tho.

Yeah baby! bring it!!! Jody Lynn! She has the height 5'10... close enough. She does kickboxing so the fighting & learning different MMA wont be much of a reach for her. She has the dark hair, the sparkling blue eyes, the no nonsense look, she can act.. She would rock IMHO. And she is not too well known so the focus will be all on Wonder Woman coming to life on the bring screen.

Thank you Shaman for doing this. Way cool. =:)

There was no need to find the Australian beauty Megan Gale who we dont know if can act (though rumors say she CAN'T) when we have our own Wonder WOman in our own backyard! People have to check out her other pictures online! if only it could be....

I totally vote Megan Gale =[. She really does look perfect to me this chick is too old. AND SHE CAN GET ACTING LESSONS.

Jody Lynn was born 1978, Megan Gale 1976. JOdy Lynn has the maturity that Wonder Woman needs and the advantage that she can act already and fight. MEgan only has the look and the height at her disposal. Wonder Woman is not a young girl, or teenager she is a woman. She is immortal so really she is about 2,000 something years old but looks only about 30.

Yes, you can always get acting lessons but then that didnt work out too well for some people who did like Janet Jackson, Cindy Crawford, Rose Mcgowan, Jennifer Lopez. Theres more but you get the idea. Some people got it, some people dont. What is Megan gonna do? Study while they are shooting the picture? Isnt that a little late by then?

Most people like Megan, understandable she is beautiful! But there is more to Wonder WOman. And to bring her to life on the big screen you need more than looks and the height you need to act well, you need to be able to fight, at least have the basics. You need to have the whole package or close to it IMHO.

Man you can draw Shaman! Nice!! Thanks again for doing this thread. =:)

zinext- You really need to read the article dude. That's not Lucy Lawless up there it's Jodi Lyn O'Keefe. Roughly translated she's a 29 year old Lucy Lawless!!! You said it yourself Lawless would've been perfect 10 years ago... well your wish is GRANTED baby!!!

SupahPhreak- Honestly, how you can want Gale before O'Keefe is beyond me when all you have to compare are pictures. As KeepItReal said, Jodi ACTS!!! Not Gale.

KeepItReal- You are quite welcome but believe me when i say that i did this just as much for you as i did it for me and every other WW fan out there that wants someone perfect to portray the character!

Sorry to interrupt, but if I don't remember bad, Wonder Woman is not inmortal, and she was borned in the present day, more or less. It also depends on what version we are talking (original pre-crisis, post-crisis, after zero-hour, after infinite crisis)

"...By the goddess Athena's decree, Hippolta led her sisters to the shores of the Aegean Sea. Upon their arrival Hippolyta and her sisters were rejuvenated with immortality. The Amazons became IMMORTAL and regained the purity of spirit robbed from them by Heracles. They never knew the pains of aging or hunger..."

Yes, it depends which version you are reading. In one place it was said over 2,000 in another she was born in 1940's. During the time of the Nazis in 1943 it was her mother Hippolyta who was Wonder Woman at the time.

For the people who are not familiar with the storyline it would be best to keep it simple so they dont get confused and discouraged from seeing the movie or reading up on Wonder Woman. It's alot of information.

My problem with Jody is that I think she is going to take a gun anymoment, anywhere. If Hilary Swank was a bit younger, I think she would be great.

Merinator- Actually, i haven't watched prison break so i have no opinion of what her character on that show normally does. Keepitreal told me she did kickboxing and that was good enough for me :)

Yes, both of you are right: I have judged very subjectively and I don't deny it.

But still, I don't see her similar enough:

Mer: That pic above you keep showing doesnt do Jody justice though. You need a better picture of her and not lock her in to Prison Break Gretchen character. If she makes you think of her picking up a gun.. she is making you think.. she makes you think she will hurt you... and she has to be believable that she is an amazon who will put a hurtin on you if you step out of line.

fivebees..Thank you. =:) Shaman..thank you too =:)

HOLY SHITTT!!!! The second the picture of her showed up on my computer screen my jaw dropped to the floor! Ihave never heard of this woman or let alone seen her act but she has the perfect look for wonder woman and Keepitreal mentioned that she was 5'10!! Thats too perfect. It almost seems God put her on earth to play Wonder Woman. Too perfect amazing job Shaman!

Peace

Megan Gale still should be Wonder Woman. She was practically born to play her!

Honestly, i don't see what Gale or any other pic has more than another. I think they all have a lil' "something" that would be nice for the role. Jodi does have more experience in acting than Gale though. That is IMO, more important than the look, which i find Jodi also has.

Fabiola is not nor will she ever be Wonder woman. It is the same shit with Brian Austin Greene for GL. "Looking" the part is not enough. For a role of this magnitude, the actress requires either a great background of references or at the very least a natural talent! Fabiola has none of the above!!! If she had a background, we'd be talking about that and if she remotely had any natural talent, she'd have already landed the role.

Now let's talk about her looks. Roar is right, she looks 40. She doesn't look "mature" she looks OLD and there's a huge difference. WW is mature without having to look old. And the worst part of Fabiola is like most of you mentionned, her eyes! I'm not talking color here, her squinting eyes are by far the worst eyes i've seen on any WW contender, fact or fictitious (beonce included). Wonder Woman is capable of such a glare that she wouldn't need her lasso half the time to get the truth out of her adversaries. Fabiola has a "go gently with me, it's my first time" look on her which is the last thing this character needs!

Most of you know that i'm an artist that does portrait. I've explained to a few people in the past that the eyes are the windows to the soul. And in a movie, you don't have a lifetime to express what the character is all about which means that a lot is left to the glare, facial expressions and body language to translate to the masses. Xena Warrior Princess is and forever will be the very best portrayal of Wonder Woman we'll ever get until they find the perfect pick for the upcoming movie. I remember watching that series KNOWING that if Lucy Lawless didn't have those eyes or that smile, regardless of her acting abilities, the show wouldn't have survived it's first season. Watch Ralph Moeler as Conan for a perfect example. The block of concrete he calls his face doesn't really translate well to the masses as much as Arnold's face did. Arnold had a glare and such facial expressions that almost made us forget about his massive lack of acting abilities and was able to sell us Conan as a very decent character. Anybody can be a barbarian but very few can be Conan. Well the same goes for Wonder Woman. All the black hair and tanned skin in the world is meaningless if the actress can't naturally "exude" the essence of the role.

In my opinion, none surpass Lucy Lawless but realistically, she is way too old. I felt that Megan Fox had "the tools" but not the build. A decent pick was Jessica Biel BUT there is still something about her that just doesn't relate to Wonder Woman. And so far the PERFECT pick for the role is Jodi Lynn O'Keefe. She has the background as well as natural talent, she's a fighter which can already handle her own (prior to any WW training) and she seems to be blessed with the same "talent" that Lucy Lawless showed on Xena.

There is OBVIOUSLY no contest here!

Megan Gale still has my vote! Instead of waiting til the end of days for a Justice League movie to be realized by Hollywood, why not just give her the starring role in a solo feature, like Wonder Woman?! She seems to have the looks and attitude to do the role some justice, so to speak. As far as I'm concerned, casting the role of Diana, with a wildly known actress, such as Charlize Theron or Angelina Jolie, simply detracts from the character's believability factor on screen. In my eyes, the focus needs to be on being able to suspend disbelief long enough to believe that this woman in front of you on the silver screen TRULY IS Wonder Woman and not "Jane Actress AS Wonder Woman." It worked famously for Lynda Carter as did it for Christopher Reeves.

That's a great point Kane! And i never was "against" Gale per say but i wish i had something to let me know that she actually can act the part...
