Wonder Woman's rogues' gallery may not be as familiar as Batman's or Spider-Man's but perhaps her most iconic foe is Cheetah. A number of characters have held the mantle over the years but there's a very strong chance that we'll see Dr. Barbara Ann Minerva in Wonder Woman 1984, an archaeologist who sold her soul in exchange for supernatural abilities. However, things quickly went wrong for her!
Now, Vulture editor Kyle Buchanan has shed some light on Cheetah's story arc in the sequel and it sounds like the movie will be following the comic books because the character will start off as Diana Prince's ally before taking a villainous turn and seemingly losing control of her new cat-like abilities.
With that in mind, it appears as if Patty Jenkins has been inspired by Greg Rucka's recent Wonder Woman run as that portrayed Cheetah's downfall as being somewhat tragic. This no doubt means we can expect a vast improvement over Ares, a villain who drew the ire of critics despite the rest of Wonder Woman being well-received. What do you guys think of these latest details about the film?
