Check out the new Hong Kong TV Spot for Wonder Woman 1984. Will Christmas come early when Wonder Woman 1984 hits HBO Max? This spectacular new footage certainly suggests it will. In my opinion, way better than the black and white Snydercut teaser.
After months of delays, Wonder Woman 1984 recently solidified its release plans for the film. Wonder Woman 1984 will premiere in theatres on Dec. 25 and HBOMax within the U.S. The film will have a theatrical release in select foreign markets one week earlier.
An international trailer for the film's release in East-Asian markets confirmed a Dec. 17 theatrical opening for Hong Kong and Japan and revealed new footage, as seen on Twitter.
In addition to footage from the latest trailer in the U.S., the promo showcased snippets of a young Diana on Themyscira and citizens in Moscow reacting to the film's cataclysmic events.
Wonder Woman 1984's release plan came after months of delays due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic shuttering movie theaters worldwide, and Warner Bros. waiting to see how the COVID-19 surges would affect its opening release day. Since WarnerMedia's announcement of the updated release strategy for the film, filmmaker Patty Jenkins and star Gal Gadot have both individually voiced their support for the decision.
Directed and co-written by Patty Jenkins, Wonder Woman 1984 stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, Pedro Pascal and Natasha Rothwell. The film arrives in theaters and HBO Max on Dec. 25 in the U.S., while debuting theatrically in international markets starting on Dec. 16. The film will be available for a month on HBO Max in the U.S. included at no additional cost.
