James Cameron isn't a fan of Wonder Woman and that's something he's made clear on a number of occasions now. The first time, director Patty Jenkins responded to him but the Avatar helmer doubled down on his criticisms earlier this week and once again pointed to Gal Gadot's skimpy costume as being a sign that she's not really a strong female lead (as opposed to his creation, Sarah Connor).
No one seems to be really buying into Cameron's remarks but plenty of people have found fault with them. The latest is original Wonder Woman star Lynda Carter as she's really not happy with what's been said! You can read her Facebook statement below but is everyone taking this too seriously?
Not necessarily. Wonder Woman was groundbreaking for a lot of reasons and Cameron's claims to the contrary come across as patronising and insulting to both the movie itself and director Patty Jenkins.
What do you guys think about Carter's response? Do you disagree about exactly how groundbreaking Wonder Woman really was? As always, let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
