WONDER WOMAN 1984 Director Patty Jenkins Shares A First Look At Pedro Pascal's Mysterious Character

With filming on Wonder Woman 1984 currently underway, director Patty Jenkins has shared a first look at Pedro Pascal (Game of Thrones) on-set and in-costume as his yet-to-be-named character, who looks to fit right into the film's '80s setting.

In addition to Pascal, the cast also features Gal Gadot (Justice League), Chris Pine (Star Trek Beyond), Kristen Wiig (Where'd You Go, Bernadette), Natasha Rothwell (Insecure), Ravi Patel (Master of None) and Gabriella Wilde (The Three Musketeers).

While we don't know who he's playing, the film's Washington D.C. setting could suggest that he's a politician of some sort that either aligns with Diana Prince or finds himself at odds with her and/or with Cheetah.

@NOVAtheSUPA - Jenkins said in an interview this wasn't a sequel to the first movie. It's part of the rebooted not connected DC multiverse universe.

A whole new story basically.

@WYLEEJAY - i just looked it up what you're saying isny entirely true

And i dont know where you got thats its not part of the dc universe i tried looking into it the best i could find is that because its set before the other dc movies its not shackled to tell what story it wants to tell

Its not that its not a sequel its just not a direct sequel

“I never want to do more of anything for the wrong reason…I don’t want to go to that place of ‘how do you keep it going and cash in?’ in my head. I have these characters that I love and this world that I love and we can make a whole new movie that’s completely unique and as strong as the first one? Of course I want to do that. But it’s not ‘more’ of anything, even though it’s evocative of everything that happened to the first one.”
