THE GIFTED: Come Check Out The Awesome Full-Length Trailer For Fox's Upcoming X-MEN Drama

Following the smashing success of Legion, Marvel Entertainment and FOX TV have partnered up once again to bring an all-new X-Men adventure to the small screen: The Gifted.

The action/adventure family drama series will follow two ordinary parents, played by Stephen Moyer and Amy Acker, and their mutant children, played by Natalie Alyn Lind and Percy Hynes White, as they go on the run from the government.

FOX released the first trailer for the series at midnight and both the X-Men and the Brotherhood of Mutants get namedrops, but it doesn't sound like either group will have much of a role in the series, at least not initially, as one of the characters questions whether either team even exists anymore. Luckily, the Strucker family will receive a helping hand from a couple underground mutants, including Eclipse, Blink, Polaris, and Thunderbird.

Check out the full-length trailer and teaser poster below:

Action-adventure family drama THE GIFTED, from Marvel, tells the story of a suburban couple whose ordinary lives are rocked by the sudden discovery that their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive.

The Gifted features:
Stephen Moyer as Reed
Strucker
Amy Acker as Caitlin Strucker
Sean Teale as Marcos Diaz/Eclipse
Jamie Chung as Clarice Fong/Blink
Coby Bell as Jace Turner
Emma Dumont as Lorna Dane/Polaris
Blair Redford as John Proudstar/Thunderbird
Natalie Alyn Lind as Lauren
Strucker
Percy Hynes White as Andy Strucker

Meh. While I appreciate what Singer's done for the franchise (particularly X1, X2 and DofP) I wish he'd step away from the franchise. Need some new blood to reinvigoirate the X-Men franchise.

Loved Legion, this unfortunately looks like huge step down.

I like the blonde actress, she was in The Goldbergs, and Gotham. Hope this is good. With Polaris and Blink in this, I hope we get to see some B and C list mutants that won't ever see a movie.

Very interesting. I will be checking this out. I must say that I don't like Jamie Chung with the weird eye color, but Amy Acker is always great.
It's a journey, where you get to learn as the characters do. Might be a good ride.

@MarvelousAgentX - Personnally Im glad they went with th DoFP Blink look (which I love).
But I do agree the contacts are a bit too opaque.

So, does this take place in the film continuity? I mean, the X-Men and Brotherhood are obviously around, but where does this fall in with the films? If it doesn't count me out.

@sharkman03191 - I read somewhere that this is part of the old timeline, that it's set after the original trilogy but before what we saw in dofp, but I don't think it was never confirmed. I'd like to know for sure too

This is something that the whole family could sit down and watch. I don't know why that scares so many of the people on this site. Maybe that don't have family to watch with, maybe their not close to their families, but boys, let me tell you, there is nothing wrong with that.
Maybe if families spent more time watching the telly and having dinner together, there would be fewer kids out and about doing idiotic, heinous things to ease their boredom.
