Confirmed/In Development:

X-Men: Apocalypse (Confirmed)

X-Men: Apocalypse has been confirmed to have a release date of May 27, 2016. The main antagonist will be Apocalypse, who we got a glimpse of in the X-Men:Days of Future Past after credit scene. Channing Tatum is in talks to portray Gambit in the film. Also, Days of Future Past screenwriter Simon Kinberg said that the new film will primarily focus on the X-Men:First Class cast, but members of the originals cast will return.

Wolverine 3 (Confirmed)

James Mangolds 'The Wolverine' sequel has been set by Fox for a May 3, 2017 release date. Hugh Jackman will return as Wolverine. There are rumors that the story will be based on Mark Millar's 'Old Man Logan' storyline. 'Old Man Logan' which takes place over 50 years into the future of the Marvel Universe, is a favorite story among Wolverine fans. Perhaps the story could be adapted to use the original X-Men cast, which appeared in Days of Future Past. What do you want The Wolverine sequel to be based on?

X-Force (In Development)

An X-Force script has been completed at Fox, but the film does not yet have a set release date. X-Force is a "black-ops" style team of mutants created by Cable. Cable is the mutant son of Cyclops and Madelyne Pryor, a clone of Jean Grey, from the future.  It was revealed that the X-Force team will consist of five characters including Cable and fan-favorite Deadpool. Which other characters would you like to see apart of the X-Force team?

Deadpool (In Development)

The Deadpool movie has been in development for quite some time at Fox. Ryan Reynolds was attached to the movie after the release of X-Men Origins:Wolverine, but it is unknown if he is still set to play the character. It hasn't been revealed yet if Fox is aiming for a PG-13 or R rated film. I have heard many fans against a PG-13 rating, given the adult humor in his comic books. Would you want the film to be rated PG-13 or R?

Gambit (In Development)

News broke recently that actor Channing Tatum is expected to play the mutant Gambit in X-Men Apocalypse, and then star in a solo Gambit film. The actor has always been a fan of the master thief and is excited to be apart of the X-Men film franchise. What do you think of Tatum as Gambit?

Rumored

Mystique (Rumored)

Simon Kinberg, the screenwriter of X-Men:Days of Future Past, said that a Mystique film staring Jennifer Lawrence seems inevitable. I believe that Jennifer Lawrence is a good enough actress to make a successful film centered around  Mystique, and after watching Days of Future Past I think that the solo film is a great possibility. Would you want to watch a film about Mystique?

Potential Future Films
These are possible movies that could be good additions to the franchise.

Magneto

The Marvel NOW Magneto series is currently a  favorite of mine. The storyline revolves around Magneto working as an anti-hero and  hunting down humans who threaten mutant kind. I would love to see a Magneto film based on this series starring Michael Fassbender.I recommend checking it out.

X-Men 4

Imagine one last X-Men movie starring the original cast. The awesome future scenes in X-Men:Days of Future Past left me craving more of these original cast members and although an X-Men 4 is unlikely, I would love to see the original cast reunite for one last adventure.

X-Factor

There have been a few different versions of X-Factor in the past. I would like to see a movie based on the comic run where X-Factor is a mutant detective agency. Although I have never read this series, I think it would be an interesting addition to the X-Men film franchise.

Alpha Flight

Alpha Flight is a team of Canadian super heroes in the Marvel Universe. A great Alpha Flight film could  compete with other super hero team movies like Marvel Studios 'The Avengers'. The team is closely tied to the X-Men in the comics, so I believe that Fox owns the rights to an Alpha Flight film. I am not very familiar with the Alpha Flight comic, but I think that an Alpha Flight film could be a nice addition to the X-Movie Universe. Would you want to see an Alpha Flight movie?

Starjammers

The Starjammers are a group of space pirates led by Corsair, the father of Cyclops and Havok. The Starjammers aren't a very popular comic book team, but so were The Guardians of the Galaxy a couple years ago, and they're now receiving a movie this August. A Starjammers film series set in the X-Men Universe could strongly compete against Marvel Studios 'Guardians of the Galaxy'. The Starjammers could also be used to introduce other X-men foes like the Shi'ar race. Corsair could have some emotional scenes with Cyclops and Havok in future X-movies which can improve character development for them all. Again, this team has strong ties to the X-Men comics, so I think that Fox does own the Starjammers film rights. What are your thoughts on a Starjammers film?

Thank you for reading! Comment below which X-Men Universe movies you'd like to see in the future and hit the red thumbs up button!

Wow. There's so many stories they could do. They really need to create their own universe like the MCU

I'd love to see an X-Factor Investigations TV show.
I think it's superheroe concept mixed with it's investigations-procedural type genre could be amazing on the small screen and have a case-of-the-week story with an overarching mystery.

It has some great themes of sex, sexuality, religion and romance. It's perfect for FX or something.

I wonder what they would do to change the story for Old Man Logan. They couldn't use Hulk or Hawkeye. Those two played big parts in that story. Also the United States was split into different zones run by villains they dont have. So......who would be fun to replace these characters with?

@Cherry. I love that idea! But separate from the movie verse so we can have Havok right?
CherryBomb

My X-Force:

Wolverine
Cable
Psylocke
Domino
Warpath (since he appeared in DOFP)

With also Boom Boom as someone who helps out from time to time, or who hopes to join the ranks someday.

I think it would be amazing for the X-Men universe if we have simultaneous moves with:
- Young X-Men in the past.
- Present X-Men, original cast without a Wolverine
- X-Force movies with Wolverine as the lead.

@WYLE

For XF-Invrstigations? Haha that's a point call X-Factor Investigstions "X.F.I" as a pun on the CSI, NCIS type shows.

& no Havok! I want the "original" XFI cast (not the X Factor one)

It was run by Madrox correct?

Can someone explain how Cable/X-Force can fit into the current DOFP/Apocalypse timeline and universe? I'm not too familiar with X-Force.

@WYLEE

Yeah :) it's a great comic series!

Madrox is the leader but he's had recent problems with his clones going rogue. He forms XFI with:
Monet, a rich beautiful exotic woman who thinks she's better than everyone else and because of her mutant powers, she is. Siryn is his main love interest, a feisty Irish woman. Wolfsbane, a religious werewolf. Rictor, who is suicidal after losing his powers (could be a mystery in the show as to why, since House of M didn't happen). Strong Guy, a gentle giant, and Layla Miller, a young girl who claims to "know stuff", so yeah he brings together this tag tag bunch of mutants for his agency.

Sounds like a great premise if you ask me.

Lmao at the idea that Alpha Flight could ever compete with the Avengers. As for this group called Starjammers........ummmm.......no thanks. One obscure group of comic characters in space is enough. I might end up liking GotG, but I don't really think we need a D-list group (at best, could be E-list or even F-list) getting a movie.

I actually think Starjammers could be pretty good! It would introduce the Shi'ar empire and elevate the franchise to new heights.
Not to mention explore some background into the Summers brothers.

WYLEEJAY - 5/29/2014, 11:07 PM
That could be pretty epic. But if you do XFI, you have to do its own universe. That way you can throw so much at them. You could even have them investigating vampires one week! Not just Mutant problems. Maybe a kidnapping and murder by The Hand. Morlocks disappearing from the sewers. So many possibilities.

Awesome list. It'd be great if we received most of those films sooner rather than later. I'm really looking forward to X-force, Apocalypse, Wolverine 3 and even Starjammers. I gave up hope on Deadpool. Not looking forward to Gambit and Mystique.

X-Men 4 in 2018 or 2019 would be awesome. Give the First Class cast a break and focus on the old cast.

The Deadpool movie NEEDS an R Rating or it won't be a Deadpool movie. I'm confident though as DOFP was really on the border of an R rating.

My X-Force would come after Wolverine 3.

Cable
Deadpool
Domino
Warpath
Psylocke

Honestly, I would like for X-Men Apocalypse to introduce Archangel, and then the next movie be X-Force, based on Rick Remender's Archangel arc (with Deadpool, Psylocke and Fantomex), then an X-Men 4, with the original cast. Then, retire the franchise for a couple of years and give us the best CBM in Old Man Logan

I really dont want a mistique movie. That blue makeup has always been horrible but it looks like shit on Jennifer Lawrence where Rebecca Romijn was a whole lot more acceptable and believable. I think Jennifer Lawrence must have more weight on her, or maybe fat if I may be so blunt.
