Confirmed/In Development:
X-Men: Apocalypse (Confirmed)
X-Men: Apocalypse has been confirmed to have a release date of May 27, 2016. The main antagonist will be Apocalypse, who we got a glimpse of in the X-Men:Days of Future Past after credit scene. Channing Tatum is in talks to portray Gambit in the film. Also, Days of Future Past screenwriter Simon Kinberg said that the new film will primarily focus on the X-Men:First Class cast, but members of the originals cast will return.
Wolverine 3 (Confirmed)
James Mangolds 'The Wolverine' sequel has been set by Fox for a May 3, 2017 release date. Hugh Jackman will return as Wolverine. There are rumors that the story will be based on Mark Millar's 'Old Man Logan' storyline. 'Old Man Logan' which takes place over 50 years into the future of the Marvel Universe, is a favorite story among Wolverine fans. Perhaps the story could be adapted to use the original X-Men cast, which appeared in Days of Future Past. What do you want The Wolverine sequel to be based on?
X-Force (In Development)
An X-Force script has been completed at Fox, but the film does not yet have a set release date. X-Force is a "black-ops" style team of mutants created by Cable. Cable is the mutant son of Cyclops and Madelyne Pryor, a clone of Jean Grey, from the future. It was revealed that the X-Force team will consist of five characters including Cable and fan-favorite Deadpool. Which other characters would you like to see apart of the X-Force team?
Deadpool (In Development)
The Deadpool movie has been in development for quite some time at Fox. Ryan Reynolds was attached to the movie after the release of X-Men Origins:Wolverine, but it is unknown if he is still set to play the character. It hasn't been revealed yet if Fox is aiming for a PG-13 or R rated film. I have heard many fans against a PG-13 rating, given the adult humor in his comic books. Would you want the film to be rated PG-13 or R?
Gambit (In Development)
News broke recently that actor Channing Tatum is expected to play the mutant Gambit in X-Men Apocalypse, and then star in a solo Gambit film. The actor has always been a fan of the master thief and is excited to be apart of the X-Men film franchise. What do you think of Tatum as Gambit?
Rumored
Mystique (Rumored)
Simon Kinberg, the screenwriter of X-Men:Days of Future Past, said that a Mystique film staring Jennifer Lawrence seems inevitable. I believe that Jennifer Lawrence is a good enough actress to make a successful film centered around Mystique, and after watching Days of Future Past I think that the solo film is a great possibility. Would you want to watch a film about Mystique?
Potential Future Films
These are possible movies that could be good additions to the franchise.
Magneto
The Marvel NOW Magneto series is currently a favorite of mine. The storyline revolves around Magneto working as an anti-hero and hunting down humans who threaten mutant kind. I would love to see a Magneto film based on this series starring Michael Fassbender.I recommend checking it out.
X-Men 4
Imagine one last X-Men movie starring the original cast. The awesome future scenes in X-Men:Days of Future Past left me craving more of these original cast members and although an X-Men 4 is unlikely, I would love to see the original cast reunite for one last adventure.
X-Factor
There have been a few different versions of X-Factor in the past. I would like to see a movie based on the comic run where X-Factor is a mutant detective agency. Although I have never read this series, I think it would be an interesting addition to the X-Men film franchise.
Alpha Flight
Alpha Flight is a team of Canadian super heroes in the Marvel Universe. A great Alpha Flight film could compete with other super hero team movies like Marvel Studios 'The Avengers'. The team is closely tied to the X-Men in the comics, so I believe that Fox owns the rights to an Alpha Flight film. I am not very familiar with the Alpha Flight comic, but I think that an Alpha Flight film could be a nice addition to the X-Movie Universe. Would you want to see an Alpha Flight movie?
Starjammers
The Starjammers are a group of space pirates led by Corsair, the father of Cyclops and Havok. The Starjammers aren't a very popular comic book team, but so were The Guardians of the Galaxy a couple years ago, and they're now receiving a movie this August. A Starjammers film series set in the X-Men Universe could strongly compete against Marvel Studios 'Guardians of the Galaxy'. The Starjammers could also be used to introduce other X-men foes like the Shi'ar race. Corsair could have some emotional scenes with Cyclops and Havok in future X-movies which can improve character development for them all. Again, this team has strong ties to the X-Men comics, so I think that Fox does own the Starjammers film rights. What are your thoughts on a Starjammers film?
