Channing Tatum Shares An Update On GAMBIT; Promises Unique Origin
While promoting his upcoming release, The Book of Life, Channing Tatum took a few moments to share an update on his upcoming role as the Ragin' Cajun Gambit in his solo adventure.
While speaking with MTV about his upcoming animated release, The Book of Life, star Channing Tatum took a few moments to share an update about his upcoming role as Gambit in X-Men: Apocalypse and possibly in a standalone film. While reiterating that he can't give away too much about the yet-to-be announced film's status, he does go on to say that the standalone film may be slightly smaller in scale when compared to other superhero origin stories: "We really do want to try our hardest to give something fresh. We’re obviously going to go to the saving the world superhero movies eventually, but not for the first one.”
Adding a potential Gambit standalone film to Fox's already impessive slate of upcoming X-Men films, which include Deadpool, X-Men: Apocalypse, & Wolverine 3, should make the next few years very exciting for X-Men fans everywhere. Check out Tatum's full comments in the video below:
