Mforma Group Inc., a leading global provider of mobile data solutions for wireless operators, today announced that a new mobile game, X-Men 2, based on the hit movie X2: X-Men United, is now available to ALLTEL and Verizon Wireless users.

Verizon is offering the game as part of its Get it Now service, and ALLTEL is offering the game as part of its Axcess service. Mforma is providing both operators with advanced entertainment content for their new generation mobile phone users.

The wireless game was developed by TKO Software, a leading video game publisher. In the game, which is based closely on the action of the movie, players choose one of three Marvel Super Heroes -- Wolverine, Storm, or Nightcrawler -- and then fight invaders one-on-one. The advanced gameplay allows players to use their mutant abilities to jump, crouch or block, and the plot is customized for each playable character, featuring unique endings. The game also features vibrations, music, sound effects, three levels of difficulty, and gameplay that is controlled by the directional keys rather than the number pad.

"We think the 'X-Men 2' game action and graphics set a new standard in wireless gaming," said Christophe Watkins, vice president of content and media for Mforma. "The work TKO has done to bring Marvel's 'X-Men 2' to the wireless medium is truly exceptional. The animation is expressive, the backgrounds lush, and the action extremely compelling."

"Through Mforma's vast distribution network, millions of users can now play an exciting and challenging version of 'X-Men 2' on their wireless phones," said Jacob Hawley, president of TKO Software. "Mforma's experience in working with the carriers around the world has enabled us to get Marvel's X-Men 2 to market quickly -- and we are certain X-Men 2 will be wildly successful as consumers learn of its availability."

X-Men 2 is now available to Verizon Wireless and ALLTEL users with BREW-enabled phones (Motorola T720 and Audiovox 9500), and will soon be available to users of other networks and other devices. Verizon users can download the game here, and ALLTEL users can download the game here!
