Vinnie "Juggernaut" Jones Arrested in Bar Brawl

Actor and ex-British soccer player (football if you're a Brit), Vinnie Jones got into a bar fight after being taunted over his role in the X-Men movies...

Known for playing various "tough-guy" roles, but mainly as the super-powered brusier "Juggernaut" in X-Men: The Last Stand, Jones was hospitalized and later arrested for the incident.

Witnesses say Jones tried to join a game of pool in the bar of a small town in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, when one of the men referred to him as "Juggernaut." Apparently Jones took it as a slight against his more significant roles.

"He started pushing my other friends around," said Juan Barrera, 24, who sat nearby while his roommates played pool.

"He said he's been in so many other movies or whatever."

Police said Jones charged at a local patron, 24-year-old Jesse Bickett, who then hit Jones in the face with a beer glass. His face bloodied, Jones was walking to the restroom to clean up when he saw Barrera and punched him in the face, Barrera told AFP. Barrera said he hit Jones once or twice in the face before bar staff kicked him out.

Jones was treated for facial injuries at a local hospital where he was arrested for misdemeanor assault early Friday morning. Police charged Bickett with felony aggravated assault.

Vinnie Jones debuted as an actor in "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels." His other film credits include "Snatch" and "Gone in Sixty Seconds."

Hahahaha. So the Juggernaut rears his ugly head even in real life. Maybe he took it as a potshot because he didn't like the way it turned out. I, for one, dug ALL 3 X-Men movies.

No, I just lied to everyone, geez. Yes, honestly, I did like it. Thought it was great. Well, I appreciate your opinion and as much as it may coincide with a ton of other people. Mine does as well. So, I liked it. Big deal.

X-men 3 was great and Im pretty sure the high ticket and DVD sales would say that it was and excellent film.
and since i have had this argument before, I will keep it simple all 3 movies are good in their own rights.

I wonder if any one got Vinnie on their camera phone.
Well now I know not to call him Juggernaut if I ever meet Vinnie.

Why did the guy who was charged by the Juggernaut and defended himself get charged with felony aggravated assault?

"Jean,I love you.." Oh brother! I will never get over that. Brett Ratner, what a silly-silly man.

The guy got charged with felonious assault because he hit Vinnie in the face with a beer glass. Potentially deadly "weapon".

Gee DJ, could you be inferring that i'm a homosexual? and if so, before I answer your so eloquently stated question I must ask...
- Why is it any of your concern?
- From where did you gather information enough to pose such a personal question?
- If I were to say yes, would it really matter one way or the other? If so, are you propositioning me?
and finally...
- would you like it in your mouth or do you prefer the back door treatment? Idiot.

Why do these people keep saying X men 3 was good???? It was a travesty!!! They got nothing right! they're whole premise was, "hey! lets kill off a bunch of main characters in like the first five minutes!" Garbage!
IonParallax
IonParallax - 12/6/2008, 6:54 PM
It could be Noob. I think he's interested...I'm going to pass him a note that says "do you want be my boyfriend? check yes or no" (schoolgirl giggle) mindnumbing ignorance can be quite comical at times.

Because David, that's our OPINION. Scott's a douche. He SHOULD die. AND he's the ONLY main character to die in the first 5 minutes...I just got done watching this right before my previous post. Of course they did get things wrong, but to say they missed everything is just an incorrect statement and I do believe it's ONLY based on your emotional perspective, how YOU feel let down as a fan.

OK, let's list all the mutants who died in X3 shall we:

Scott
Jean
Xavier
Psylocke
Arclight
Spike
Callisto
Marrow
and about 1000 extras...Did I forget anyone?

Who knew a beer glass and handcuffs were all it took to take down ole' Juggie?
IonParallax
IonParallax - 12/6/2008, 9:17 PM
Well grif, that's because it's more in line with the ULTIMATE Juggernaut. Which IS a mutant and also looks like he's wearing bondage. Not nearly as cool as the movie though.

What the heck, there was a reason why they were killed off Im sure Ratner had nothing to do with. It was all political they just simply didn't want to work with Ratner so they wanted off the project. And im pretty sure the whole thing was over face time on the screen. If you notice most of that movie revolved around wolverine and storm and anyone who wanted to stay on bored.
singer even wrote in a part for the guy who played cyclops in superman returns.
The whole reason why nothing was right abouth X3 was because Ratner was handed so little to work with. He had to pick up the mess that Singer coulnd't handle and if singer cared so much about all you that are trying to protect him why did he leave the project to go do superman and make another debacle of another hero.
You guys get mad at Ratner like if its his fault, he got a weak story and half a cast of uptight actors.
If you want to talk about how nothing in Xmen3 was right lets talk about how X1-2, that set the stage
lets start with their ages.
A young Rough, Iceman, colussus,Pyro..etc
what the hell is this f-ing smallville.
Wolverine never had a father figure relationship with Rogue.
Mystic didn't have a romantic affair with Magneto,
she was Sabertooth one night stand.
Legion was just thrown in there for the sake of a storyline.
Iceman and Rogue where never involved.
Pyro never was part of the Xmen.
and Ladydeath strike what the hell super weak sauce.
So if your going to rant of about that x3 didn't get anything right look at what made it not have anything right.

He was a hooligan on the pitch, doesn't surprise me he gets in peoples faces. But that beer mug to the mush has probably messed up his face permanently. That's gotta hurt the career somewhat. Vinnie Jones, international 'tard.

haha, thanks for the feedback IonParallax...I'm quite passionate about the x-men cuz it's my favorite of Marvel's storyline's, but yes...in rants over exaggerations occur, but I was thoroughly disappointed with X men 3, I think Singer should've stayed on baord...but (sigh) we got Ratner...But the article is pretty funny, I like how most people aren't commenting about the actual article too haha

wow! i actually met vinnie jones a couple of years ago at a darts tournament..he sat with us for a while a even bought us a round of drinks..he seemed cool enough but i know hes a volatile dude..basically a potential thug i think..hes nice as pie until you say something he doesnt like. im glad i didnt call him juggernaut! the movie was just coming out at the time i think.

im tired of defending xmen 3..yes it was the worst of the 3 but it was still a good movie. if there had of been less characters..more character development on the ones they had already established..and maybe a few script adjustments it would have been a really great movie

I partially agree with the fact that the casting was way off and the look of the character was one of the most dissapointing things Ive ever seen so far in a comic book movie. Juggernaut is an insane character that I was so excited to see, and the suit instantly upset me.
However, I dont think it was the fault of Jones who played the part rather well it was just his look that disapointed me. Jones is a great actor and could have been great if a little more money had been spent making him look the part.

PS: Best part of X3 was Beast. Great fight scene at the end and Kelsey Grammer makes an excellent Hank McCoy.
Also Collossus needed MUCH more screen time, he is an amazing character with a powerful ability.

Yeah DJ Check-Punta, you're all kinds of clever!
Couldn't possibly have had anything to do with the fact that the entire article is about Vinnie Jones... posted on a comic book movie fansite... with a number of people commenting on the one performance of his that had anything to do with comic books... yeah, clever.

You know, I love your retort too. My six year old tries that all the time when he says something that he knows he shouldn't: "I was joking!"
It doesn't work for a six year old, what makes you think it would work on us?

Nice point Redhot! But keep in mind this is about Comics & Scifi in general.

Vinnie does seem to have that appeal to be a little intense, but that is just an opinion not a fact.

oh hes a thug plain and simple. in his football days he headbutted, punched and bit other players. he once bit a reporters nose half off for asking him a question he didnt like..so it couldnt have happened to a nicer fella, i hope he does some time, might teach him some manners
