New Behind The Scenes Production Tweet From THE WOLVERINE

Production tweets from comic book movie directors are all the rage these days. Yesterday, it was Bryan Singer teasing Days of Future Past and today we have production tweets from James Mangold's The Wolverine.

The trailer reveals that a lot of action takes place at the Yashida Compound, which is a slight departure from the original story told by comic book writer Chris Claremont. The trailer revealed that the Compound is very large and also has a section comprised entirely of scientific laboratories.

An interesting tweet, as we have three characters listed as playing Yashida, Yamanouchi, Hiroyuki Sanada and Ken Yamamura. We know there's a flashback involved with Wolverine and Yashida but why three actors to play the same character? Examining the actors, there appears to be an elderly, middle-aged and young Yashida in the film.

For those of you really into movie scores, were you keen on the score used in the first trailer?

Spinning out of the events of X-Men: The Last Stand, Logan (Hugh Jackman) travels to Japan where he falls for the beautiful Mariko Yashida (Tao Okamoto) to the grave displeasure of her father Yashida (Hal Yamanouchi) and her half-brother, the fearsome Silver Samurai (Will Yun Lee). But this isn't Logan's first trip to the Land of the Rising Sun or his first encounter with the Yashida clan. Based on a screenplay by Christopher McQuarrie (The Usual Suspects, Valkyrie) and Mark Bomback (Live Free or Die Hard, Total Recall )and the comic book by Frank Miller and Chris Claremont.

Running Time: In post-production
Release Date: July 26, 2013
MPAA Rating: This Film Has Not Yet Been Rated
Starring: Hugh Jackman, Brian Tee, Will Yun Lee, Hiroyuki Sanada, Rila Fukushima, Tao Okamoto
Directed by: James Mangold
Written by: Mark Bomback (screenplay) Christopher McQuarrie (screenplay) Frank Miller (comic book) Chris Claremont (comic book)

Either gonna suck really bad or be really good. Man I fear they've totally ruined my favorite Marvel story ever.

Yeah this movie lost my interest after the set pictures and horrible trailer. Not only that but I really am sick and tired of them not putting him in some sort of costume, as stupid as that sounds. BUT that's part of his character! And I think if it was done right it would be awesome! It's not like, at this point, that people don't already know that Jackman is playing him, so why not at least put a mask on him? Either way, I'm not going to see it. Maybe a redbox, maybe

Looks like they're shooting some b-roll. Haha

I'm cautiously optimistic for this one. Wolverine is one o my favorite characters and I'm interested to see how they address him losin his healing powers and usin his claws and then walking around bleeding from between his knuckles all the time. (Seriously) add to that the bloody claws pic and I'm hoping to get an R rating. Well see I guess...

Wolverine's wife beater shirt iiisss his costume. It's cheap and easily replaced. And he's wearing what?...corduroy pants? Now THAT'S a costume...one that anyone can afford for Halloween. tape a few butter knives between your knuckles and there ya go...who doesn't own butter knives? You can get em with any value meal from KFC.

In Wolverine's 2nd solo movie...he loses his powers much like Superman 2 and Spider-Man 2....or what happened to Thor in his movie...but after some hard work and reflecting and appreciating the better things in life...the hero rises and finds a way to get those powers back...either using some sort of device or realizing that they never really lost it at all....

Keep forgetting about this movie. Maybe it will be a surprise hit. But it's mos def off my radar.

FOr the people bitching that they are still filming. X2 wasn't done until a month before its release and The Dark Knight was still in production in June before its July release. Some movies take a little longer. I really think this is going to be the surprise hit of the summer. It might be a little artsy (based on Mangolds influences) for the average movie goers taste, but I think comic book fans will be pleased
