Schreiber to Antagonize Wolverine

Fans of Wolverine will be well aware of one of the most frequent villains – Sabretooth. Well, those same fans might be as surprised by who will be playing him – Liev Schreiber.

According to Devin Faraci over at CHUD, Schreiber – one of Devin’s favorite actors – has been cast to play another of Canadia’s Weapon-X Program creations in the upcoming X-Men spin-off/prequel, X-Men Origins: Wolverine. With a healing factor akin to Wolverine’s, but a tendency towards the darker side of the coin, the two were bound to have some massive dust ups.

Schreiber’s casting has been confirmed by multiple reliable sources, so CHUD are pretty convinced of this, and they’ve rarely led me astray in the past. But according to what I’ve heard (I’ve never seen Schreiber in anything before) to cast him as Creed, aka Sabretooth, is a bit confusing. If he is as good as I’m told, then I agree; Creed was never a deep character. He just hit Wolverine and that was kinda it.

But, the caveat to that is that Gavin Wood is directing the flick, and any such casting choice to play any character has to be looked at with some degree of intrigue. One can only hope at least!
