Can Fox's X-MEN Go To The Savage Land?

X-Men: Apocalypse producer Hutch Parker answers whether 20th Century Fox's deal with Marvel Studios allows the X-Men to use Ka-Zar and travel to the Savage Land or if this is another Scarlet Witch/Quicksilver case - where Fox and Marvel share the rights.

The X-Men cinematic universe is ever-expanding, getting more and more ambitious with each successful release from director Bryan Singer. Deadpool looks to be a smash hit, there's a solo Gambit film in the works and Hugh Jackman remains adamant that there's still one more, solo Wolverine tale to be told.  Then there's the also films for the New Mutants and X-Force in development as well.  However, there's one area of X-Men lore that's yet to be touched.   When asked on the set of X-Men: Apocalypse if the X-Men could ever travel to the Savage Land, producer Hutch Parker admitted that he actually....doesn't know.  Unless he's playing coy, whatever Fox is planning for the X-Men cinematic universe, it sounds like the Savage Land won't be used.

“To be totally honest, I don’t know. I don’t know, and I kind of should because of my time at the studio, but it’s a pretty carefully cataloged thing and once we get our head down into stories, and we are into a bunch of them, that’s where my attention goes. I haven’t gone back to check but now that you’ve asked the question, I shall.”

X-Men: Apocalypse arrives in theaters on May 27, 2016.
