James Marsden Has A Perfect Suggestion For Who Should Play 'Cyclops' In X-MEN: APOCALYPSE

Now that we know Cyclops will definitely be in the 1980s set X-Men: Apocalypse, there has been a lot of talk about who should play a younger version of the character James Marsden portrayed in the original X-Men trilogy. As it turns out, he has a pretty damn good suggestion...

In a recent interview with Yahoo! Movies, James Marsden was asked who he thinks should play Cyclops in Bryan Singer's X-Men: Apocalypse. The actor actually had a very fitting suggestion when he brought up Luke Bracey, the upcoming Point Break remake star who plays a younger version of Marsden in The Best of Me. "Yeah, that’d be great [if Luke Bracey took over as Cyclops]," he said before jokingly adding, "Then he could just eventually take over being me. Then I would never get another role as long as I live!" Though he may be a little too old at 25 if Singer is planning on making Scott, Jean and Storm teenagers, he does seem like a good fit. However, Marsden isn't entirely convinced that he's quite done with the role just yet after his cameo in X-Men: Days of Future Past. "Who knows what’s happening [with ‘X-Men’]? It’s all just speculation at this point. If [recasting] does happen, it was because of a timeline issue. I know so little about that whole world. Most of the time, the actors are the last to know." What do you guys think?

Doesn't look like teenager, and looks nothing like Marsden.
Bring in Dylan O'Brien.

Doesn't look young or much like Marsden but with his ruby quartz goggles I can see it (somewhat). They should consider the kid that played Scott in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Tim Pocock.

Dylan Sprayberry even pushed for the Deadpool movie to happen

Seriously watch this! He talks avoids the question as if he'd already been approached to play Scott Summers and then name-drops Deadpool.

Cyclops is the first X-Man, how you have a first class without him is mindbottling.

I wish they'd give Marsden a shot at being an awesome Cyclops... Cyke is a kick ass character but he was written so damn poorly, while Marsden was pretty awesome... I mean his role in X2 was practically relegated to the same role Hawkeye had in the Avengers.

in my opinion Luke Bracey could replace Daniel Craig as James Bond after Bond 25.
the only problem is that he is australian and the australian that portrayed 007 doesný make an good work , imo

Cyclops would have to be in his late teens if Apocalypse is set in the 80s...
X-men Origins mainly took place in the 80s and Tim Pocock played a teenaged Scott in that film. Days of Future Past retconned a lot of stuff yes, but the main team will still have to be around the same age as the X1 to X3 timeline, if their ages are to match the alternate timeline where we saw at the end of DOFP where Cyclops & Jean were still alive.

The would have been in their early teens (13,14, 15 years old) if Apocalypse is set in 1983. So Im not expecting to see adults in their roles.

Blood in your semen? That means two things.

1.) Sameold has a pet goat.

2.) The city needs to take that goat away from him.

Possibly put it down, out of mercy.

You know who was perfect for the role of Cyclops in his younger years...Michael Biehn.

On a completely unrelated time travel note, you know who Clint Eastwood's Joe Kidd reminds me of? Hugh Jackman.
