James Marsden Has A Perfect Suggestion For Who Should Play 'Cyclops' In X-MEN: APOCALYPSE
Now that we know Cyclops will definitely be in the 1980s set X-Men: Apocalypse, there has been a lot of talk about who should play a younger version of the character James Marsden portrayed in the original X-Men trilogy. As it turns out, he has a pretty damn good suggestion...
In a recent interview with Yahoo! Movies, James Marsden was asked who he thinks should play Cyclops in Bryan Singer's X-Men: Apocalypse. The actor actually had a very fitting suggestion when he brought up Luke Bracey, the upcoming Point Break remake star who plays a younger version of Marsden in The Best of Me. "Yeah, that’d be great [if Luke Bracey took over as Cyclops]," he said before jokingly adding, "Then he could just eventually take over being me. Then I would never get another role as long as I live!" Though he may be a little too old at 25 if Singer is planning on making Scott, Jean and Storm teenagers, he does seem like a good fit. However, Marsden isn't entirely convinced that he's quite done with the role just yet after his cameo in X-Men: Days of Future Past. "Who knows what’s happening [with ‘X-Men’]? It’s all just speculation at this point. If [recasting] does happen, it was because of a timeline issue. I know so little about that whole world. Most of the time, the actors are the last to know." What do you guys think?
