X-MEN: DOFP Back To The Future Spoof

Brian sent us this video and thought our CBM users would get a kick out of it. It's a shot for shot remake of the final scene from Back to the Future with X-Men characters. Check it out after the jump.

Brian sent us this video and thought our CBM users would get a kick out of it.  It's a shot for shot remake of the final scene from Back to the Future with X-Men characters.  The video is aptly called X-Men: Days of Back to the Future Past, and it's what we think would have been an even better ending than what director Bryan Singer went with...

You know, this film was an awesome X-men film, but a T-E-R-R-I-B-L-E CBM.

Jean kinda has a Xena vibe to her, at least the bump in my pants told me that...

@Pasto

Really? I'd say the opposite! It didn't feel much like X-Men, since we didn't get many "X-Men" team moments, only in the future. It was a near perfect CBM with it's action heavy, funny and emotional content.

:)

DOFP was Fox's cop-out to all the mistakes they had made in the past. And I'm fine with that....just not going to pretend it was something else OR, something better.

When the opening titles started, I knew I was gonna enjoy the film. The Xavier monologue with an original trilogy opening sequence. I nearly cried right there and then.

DOFP was good but I'm not getting on my knees just yet....he destroyed my favorite hero Superman, one of my favorite fairy tales in Jack and the beanstalk and he forgot to stage a team battle against the Sentinels in 1973.

I do have faith in Apocalypse though.

remembertheking: are you kidding? Why would you like comic movies and not comics? Even more than that, why would you like CBM's so much you go to a site dedicated to it, make a username, and comment on how comics suck, if you don't even like the source material they're created from? That's like liking the Harry Potter movies but hating the books.

LOL!

@McNyagano

OMG...no no it's just so wrong that I laughed at that!
It was damn funny.

You know what's weird?

Singer did surround himself around and was associated with a number of Hollywood men inevitably accused of sexual abuse of you boys or possession of child-porn. Not just Collins-Rector either. He may not be guilty, but he's definitely shady.

Would have been funnier if the garbage that fueled the DeLorean was a DVD copy of X-Men: Origins Wolverine.

Sort of funny idea for a skit, but it's like they were too lazy to bother to make it funny.

@Bloodraven

It means DoFP was the CBM we deserved....but not the one we need.

comics suck because they are sexist, racist, etc. Also, hardcore fans complain about inconsistencies in the movies but they forget about the comics universe where there are hundreds of superman incarnations and a bunch of alternate timelines and superheroes die all the time and come back to life. give me a break. Comic books may be great for some people and thats awesome, but when people start complaining that this is not an "x-men" movie or superman returns wasnt a "superman" film or the hate for man of steel because of the neck break scene. COME ON!!

Funny but you know what might've made this a little better - use Bishop to play Doc.

I liked the film, but seriously.. EVERY X-men movie has a president appearance in it.
It's like their re-writing the script each time but they all use the same setup..
A lingering threat occurs, Men vs Mutants, Someone acts wrong, times running out and the presidents decision. credits roll.

besides, how weak are the fighting scene's of the future mutants.. I hope bryan singers steps aside.. and let Matthew Vaughn take it again..
CPBuff22
CPBuff22 - 5/29/2014, 2:14 PM
My only question is why did Bryan Singer felt the need to change mutants powers? I get that its not going to be comic book accurate and I have gotten past that over time but since when can Kitty send people back in time? Also since when did Magneto have control over molecules (something he would need to change the state of the medal he is manipulating) and control over computers (something else he would need to mentally control the computer system in the Sentinals).

I guess I could be nit picking but it was distracting to me personally while watching the film. Also lots of inconsistencies between this film and the other X-Men films.

This brings to light another issue...now that we can "time travel" why can't they use Kitty + someone for every problem that ever arises from now on?
