Bleeding Cool have snapped the first set pics of Mathew Vaughn's X-Men: First Class to feature our first look at Charles Xavier(James McAvoy), Moira McTaggert(Rose Byrne) and a young Mystique(Jennifer Lawrence).


Apparently that's James McAvoy on the left and Rose Byrne on the right.

Mmmm. Looks like their could be a love triangle going on. Xavier romantically involved with Mystique? I can already feel the fanboys fury! Anyway, here are some more pics of the surrounding Oxford sets.

why does this movie have to be so shit ? this could of been a way of making the x-men good again.

original team + proper costumes + magneto + reboot + matthew vaughn = $$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

the only things going for it is professor x,magneto,beast & its set during the 60s.

don't get me wrong i want to see emma frost & havok on the big screen but not like this maybe in x-men 4.

Rogue did'nt have the streaks in her hair naturally in x men films they gave a reason for it to have happened(end of X1)

i am sure they will give a reason to have caused his baldness

Nice find ROR! I wish the photos were clear enough to see who is who haha! One thing I can say for sure will be interesting to see in th movie is mutant powers in a period setting.

Mystique and ol Charlie getting it on however, is a big liberty. I can only assume she is taking the place of either Amelia Voight or Illyandra in the love interest/triangle. If he buggers off to Cairo at any point expect The Shadow King!

i guesse they never said mystique and xavier DIDNT know eachother in the first 3 x-men films so this might fit in with the continuity. and it may not be a love triangle they could be friends or she could be setting him up for something bad. or hell they could be brother and sister in this continuity for all we know :)

This movie could have been Fox's chance to put right their past mistakes and instead some [foo foo] comes up with the idea of setting it in the 1960's with a pretty uninteresting bunch of characters. I like Matthew Vaughn but I hope this movie fails miserably in order to increase the chances of Marvel getting the rights back. I dont care how good it ends up being...the changes to continuity piss me off too much. [frick] Fox and [frick] X-Men: First Class. :P

No, IN YOUR OPINION that is shit. Dude I've been reading X-Men comics for over 20 years. They are by far my favorite team, and include several of my favorite characters. I hate The Sentinels, always have, always will. Now, does that make me wrong and you right? Me less of a fan? Of course not, because its just MY OPINION. I also loved the first 2 X movies. Just because they change things and create a movie universe doesn't mean they are "shitting on the comics", its means they are ADAPTING the comics for the screen. Its pretty difficult to do it any other way as far as I know! Yes, I give you that some liberties are unnecessary, but raging about what stories they have yet to cover and stuff like that really just sounds like your saying

"make it how I wan't it or it will suck"
